My Paul Mitchell pro tools that I've had for 5 yrs is kinda done. My stylist recommended a Croc but the reviews I'm reading aren't great. What's a good iron that will last longer than a year?

I have a chi flat iron which works amazing! I've had it for about 2 years and it still works like it's brand new. The only problem is it's a little expensive.

I've use a chi before. I may have to get another. And what about the ones that claim to work on wet hair? Does that actually do any good without damaging your hair?

I had the chi for years & it wasn't really straightening like I wanted it too. I have the sedu one now & it is seriously the best thing I've ever used in my life! My hair is perfectly straight & it stays straight all day. Good luck :)

You don't need to spend over $100 for a straightener. I went to Marshall's/ Tjmaxx and found a great straightener by Cortex for $30.

And my hair is really thick and curly so it's hot enough to straighten coarser hair.

Never straighten hair while it's wet. It will fry. I tried that years ago and my ends sizzled instantly.

I swear by my t3 flat iron. It was pretty expensive, but it leaves such a natural, soft and shiny feeling.

Has anyone tried Croc?
Jan 27, 2013

I tried croc for a while but then returned it because it wasn't really anything that special to me.

Iso professional works really well and lasts for a really long time. It's pretty expensive though, but in my opinion it's definitely worth it.
