My hair has just recently started being extremely staticy. I don't know what to do :( I know it means it's dry, so I tried not washing it for a couple days and piling olive oil and mayonnaise in it, but it's still terrible. We have no dryer sheets right now either.
I've never had the greatest quality hair but this is just too embarrassing and I need help :( I just got a new straightener, it's an HSI... I was wondering if that could be the problem

It's also a leave in conditioner. Just spray some on your brush and brush your hair. I used to have really staticky hair especially in the winter but this really helps!

Have you been using conditioner? If I skip conditioner then my hair becomes static-y.

Use a spray bottle and spray away in your house and on your hair with lukewarm water. You can also massage your scalp with olive oil three times a week about.

My hair gets realy staticy if I dont use conditioner. When you brush it spray a bit of hairspray onto your brush, it helps catch flyaways.

Quite often you will get static hair from either having too much product regularly in your hair or in your hair brush. Sometimes it's the clothing you're wearing, some fibres can make hair static (I won't go into the physics of it). If you don't product on your hair regularly then I would suggest looking at your shampoo or conditioner, they might have some ingredients in that just don't agree with your hair!:) there's many more reasons but those are the most common :) hope I helped!:)
