*hits buzzer* Wrong. Exercise is 20%, what you eat is 80% of your result. You simply will not lose weight by jumping on a treadmill if you're still slurping down on soda and pizza. Switch to unsweetened green tea or water only (to drink) in combination with exercise. I don't know what your diet currently consists of, but by observation, Americans consume huge quantities of liquids, most of which have a crapton of calories and sugar in them. The point of exercise is to build muscle mass because muscle consumes more energy at rest than fat does. You do burn calories just by EXISTING and doing moves in and of itself doesn't actually burn that many extra, all told. You will not look like a body builder - it takes a lot of effort and supplements to get a body building physique, so don't even worry about that. Once you see result you might be motivated to further adjust your diet into a reasonable balance of vegetables/fruits, lean proteins and complex carbohydrates.

Moisturize, use sunscreen, and exfoliate 2-3 times a week. Combined with the above, this should considerably improve your skin. If you still need help, try applying a 2% salycilic acid medication twice a day to control the acne.

For your hair, stop washing it every day. You're just irritating your scalp and causing it to produce more oil than it normally would. Learn to give yourself a good blowout - it's an art that has to be practiced to be mastered, but it's one of the most valuable skills to have when it comes to your appearance. Get a nice layer cut to support it, make sure you use a heat protectant and make sure to give your hair a break. Cutting down on washes and prolonging the style should result in you not having to apply heat to it more than 2 or 3 times a week.

I don't eat a lot of fatty foods. I eat pretty healthy. And my hair I don't wash it everyday and when I do straighten my hair I always use heat protectant

Read, people. I said "in combination with exercise."

Honestly, if you're just going to give excuses for everything, why ask for advice? You can't be doing everything right, or else you'd be happy with your system.

I was just explaining my situation and telling people what I do. Im not making excuses. I've tried many things and decided oh hey why don't I ask a beauty center app thing. I wanted other helpful ideas. By me telling you what I do or try its in regards for people to add on to that. Obviously shit isn't working if I'm not comfortable with the way I look.

Loreal ever cream works well for greasy hair plus it makes your hair soft. If u r not good with putting on make up, the beauty counter at Dillards have women who give helpful tips. Also try Sephora. When it comes to clothes... buy jeans that are comfortable but gives your legs shape. Dresses with a belt gives u hourglass shape. If u want to loose weight stay away from foods with high sugar content. Sugar is your enemy.lol

1. Exercise... try something more fun like dancing
2. eat healthy, fruit and veg with water you will a big change in your mood and energy to get up and do things
3. get a good simple skin care routine.... a face wash to help with acne, try weekly at home facials to pamper your skin, like lush fresh face masks
3. find a good light foundation to give u a fresh appearance after concealing zits and redness
4. find a shampoo targetted for oily hair in the drug store and wash it every second day
5. get a new hair style! you will be surprised how much a new hair style can do to someones appearance
6. try some light make up, a bit of mascara, eyeliner, i.e the basics

Listen to music while exercising, change the style of music when you get bored... Wear sexy underwear (you'll feel more confident even if no one else sees it).

if your already eating good exercise daily, down load a calorie counter app .. I use one called my net diary and its really helped me, it tells you how many calories you should eat to reach your goal and if its healthy or not, experiment with your hair and make up, find which styles you like and are comfortable with :)

For exercise: Mix cardio, strength training, and aerobics to keep you from getting bored with it. Listen to music to keep you pumped up, and look online for some quotes that will keep you inspired. Keep a balanced diet. You can do a 10-day meat-free detox (my mom did this and it really helped). It's really just about self-discipline and doing it for yourself. Focus on the healthy lifestyle instead of being a certain weight.
For your acne, stay away from any face makeup! It will only make it worse. Keep a regular skincare routine (I love Dermalogica's Clean Start range, but for a cheaper option, try Cetaphil and a basic, fragrance free moisturizer.) If this doesn't work, go to your dr. and get a prescription for either a topical gel or a pill (or sometimes both.)
For your hair, look up videos on YouTube about how to 'train' your hair. Make sure not to apply any products near your roots. Tease your hair slightly for some volume, and try sleeping with your hair in a bun or a braid to add some texture (straight hair can easily go from looking silky to looking greasy.)
I hope this helped! Good luck :)

My advice is to find a sport or some other kind of activity you love and do that for your exercise. I figure skated for 10+ years when I was younger and it has made all the difference. The key to sports as exercise is that it doesn't FEEL like you're exercising. Believe me, I hate exercising.

No matter how healthy you think you are, you are also only 17 and do not know your body that well yet. I'm not trying to be condescending, but it's just true. Also, diets are not the answer. Don't think you can just "cut something out" and you will magically lose all this weight. Because you won't. Changing your overall diet to one more healthy in nature is one of the hardest things to do, but it will yield amazing results in combination with your exercising.

Also, DO NOT STRESS. Stress will make the time go by so much slower and you will become aggravated and impatient when you don't see progress right away. You will be FINE. Do your research, have reasonable expectations, and get to work.

I want to also say that everyone has insecurities. No one is perfect. You have to be realistic and work toward being the best "you" both inside and out. Once you are comfortable and confident in yourself, you'll be set. You may not understand this now, but being skinny and "pretty" has nothing to do with your confidence level. Believe me. I wish you the best of luck!
