Beauty Product Reviews
Awesome as a setting powder.
This will do nothing coverage wise, but will give a perfect finishing glow. I pair it up with my MAC's Studio Sculpt foundation. It is the perfect combo, imo. Sometimes, when I don't even feel like wearing too much makeup, I just throw on the MSF and it gives me the perfect, sheer, natural look.
Bristles are soft, great for mineral makeup, but broke on me.
I tried this brush about a year ago, when ELF was having their 50% off sale.
I did wash it before I used products on it and there was some bleeding from the dye of the bristles. There was also a few shedding here and there (that's OK for me, happens to most brushes). I used it for about 2 months and I started to feel the ferrule squeaking a bit.. and as I was spectating the brush, the ferrule completely detached from the handle! (JIC: After I wash my brushes, I stand them up straight so it's not a matter of the water reaching into the ferrule that made it detach). I really couldn't believe it because I was just loving the brush so much. It did the job of blending, using powders and mineral foundation really well. I am just disappointed that it was not built with the best quality. Maybe it could have just been my brush that was defected; if this has happened to you let me know!
Yes, the brush is "good" considering the price. But if you are frugal like me, you want to spend your money as an investment and not use something then throw it away in a matter of months. To be honest, I wouldn't have purchased this brush if it wasn't on sale at the time.
