About Me

Darbie Day is a Professional makeup artist based out of the Chicago-land area. She is a recent breast cancer survivor (survivingbeauty2 was created) she wants to inspire women all over the world to take care of their health and do their monthly check while looking beautiful. With over 10 years experience she is known for her fresh, clean and perfected looks. She has had the opportunity of working with celebrities, photographers, socialites and top exectutives.

Darbie recently worked with the CEO of Peoples revolution, boss of Lauren Conrad and correspondent of the Dr. Phil show, Ms. Kelly Cutrone. Doing her makeup was an honor & privilege!

She had the priviledge of doing the makeup for designers such as Ines Di Santo and other noted designers at the famous luxury Bridal Expo of Chicago/Milwaukee with one of her best friends and awesome makeup artist Tamara G. of Tamara Makeup & Hair Artistry. Darbie prides herself on her rich experience from working with MAC cosmetics for over 4 years and in doing this she can truly say that she has worked on hundreds of faces and is an expert with every shade and texture.

She is busy with photoshoots with the up and coming Project Captured group headed by photographer-Christopher Free.

How many years have you been doing makeup?
I have 12 years experience doing makeup and 7 years professionally.

What do you feel you are an expert in for the Makeup industry?
I feel I am in expert at mixing colors of foundation to perfectly Match the skin. I know undertones all all cultures just by looking at the arms, neck and face (of course)

Do you do Airbrush Makeup?
Yes I have been Airbrushing for over 4 years

Where have you worked?
I have worked at MAC cosmetics for almost 5 years in the chicago-land area That was a awesome and challenging experience to say the least. I have done alot of work with Photographers such as Wes Craft Photography & Project Captured. I have worked for Celebrities that were challenging such as Kelly Cutrone. But an awesome privilege.

What is your favorite makeup to do?
I love bridal makeup. I love when the bride lets me just create her look for the day based off of her style of dress and wedding day decor!

Are you married?
Yes I have been married to the love of my life for 11 years!

Do you have children?
I have one little puppy named Murphy. He is 7 years old. He literally is a little boy!
