About Me

Being a music journalist by trade, I see a lot of styles to get inspired by - Gwen's makeup, Karen O's fashion, Shirley Manson's hair; just no place to fully explore or write about them. Until Beautylish where my rocker heart and girlie facade meet.

My career started as a writer/editor at the creative women&#39;s mag Venus Zine where I grew fond of test driving new albums alongside new beauty products. Currently I write music and culture pieces for Chicago Magazine, Under the Radar, Blurt, Nylon, Modern Luxury and my own site, <a class='textlink' href='http://BoxxMagazine.com' rel='nofollow noopener' target='_blank'>BoxxMagazine.com</a>, which exclusively covers women in music.

As a beauty junkie, I&#39;m constantly looking for ways to update my cat eye or find miracle texture for my naturally pin-straight hair (aka I&#39;m sorta obsessed with figuring out how to master the vintage pinup look). I look forward to reviewing new products, trying out the latest trends and discovering the latest front woman styles to report back with real feedback and maybe a little entertainment, too.
