Shade & Illuminate Soft Radiance Foundation SPF 50

this foundation confuses me. so I've used hundreds of foundations. I apply w/a brush or sponge, depending on the product. when I 1st tried to apply this I used a Sigma face brush and the hourglass serum primer, which is my go to. it looked awful. im not sure how to explain it, but it might have well have painted my pores bright red because every single pore was even more visible than without makeup on. this emphasized every single imperfection and my skin is pretty good. I thought it had to be me or the primer maybe? tried again w/water based primer instead, was worse. no matter what primer I tried, BB or brush, it looked awful up close. patchy and looked like I pinned circles into my whole face that's how obviously it painted my pores. Im so disappointed!!! I had such hope and was so excited to try a Tom Ford product 😔 I saw some other reviews try to explain this same thing. from far away it looks filtered but from anywhere nearby it's unwearable

I’ve been using the Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate Foundation as my everyday go-to for a while now, and I’m super impressed by it! The glass bottle is really luxurious and pretty. It has SPF 50, which is perfect for summer. My shade matches my skin tone perfectly. It goes on really smooth and actually feels nice on my skin. If it wasn’t for the price, I would always use this foundation.

For years my go to foundation has been Armani Luminous Silk. Let me just say, this foundation absolutely matches it in every way! It goes on like a moisturizer, and stays on all day! It almost has the same texture as the Luminous Silk foundation and I love it. It's definitely not a full-coverage product, so if that's what you are looking for, you will have to use a lot of it. It definitely is a luxury product, which does come with the luxury price tag. So if you have the money to spend on this foundation, I definitely recommend it! I am absolutely impressed with this foundation! This is a lightweight formula that blends in beautifully with the skin and lasts all day without any touch ups, no matter the activity, whether it’s a workout at home or or taking a walk outside in the South Florida humid and sunny afternoons. I had high hopes for this, being Tom Ford and having claims of giving off a luminous look while still looking natural and this completely surpassed all expectations I had. It’s buildable without caking and gives off the feeling like I’m not wearing any foundation at all. Even on days I don’t go out, I love reaching for this because it’s so comfortable to wear. Even though it is medium coverage, I still love that it looks like I’m not wearing any foundation and looks like my natural skin but at its very best. I didn’t notice any oxidation with this product, which is a huge plus for me. I do want to note there is a very light scent reminiscent of sunscreen, but it isn’t overwhelming nor does it linger. I cannot stop raving about this foundation and love that I got a chance to try this, because I wouldn’t have considered this before because of the price tag but it is worth every single penny. I will definitely be replenishing this once I run out since I love that it works as a foundation beautifully while looking and feeling natural, offering nourishing and hydrating skincare benefits, keeps my skin protected with SPF50 and overall makes my skin look naturally radiant.
