Very underrated matte staple
Eden is one of those shadows that just looks ugly in the pan. Who would want to wear a matte gray-taupey-mauve? Pass me some blue liner, please! However, I just kept hearing about what an amazing color it looks on the lids, how I must try it, etc...
So I tried it. And I liked it.
I put a whole lot of Stila Starlight washed on my entire lid/browbone and inner corner, and using a MAC 217 brush, strongly contoured my crease socket with Stila Eden. Paired with some black liner and mascara, my eye area *looked* more defined and strong. Eden did a great job of naturally shadowing my crease and giving my eyes some warmth (it must be the subtle bit of mauve).
Eden has a lovely and smooth matte texture, and picks up pigment easily with my MAC 217. The only caveat of this shade is the mauve. It might look a little pink toned for coloring that is prone to that, so heed my warning! However ,On my pale neutral-warm skin, brown eyes and hair, it looks great!
