Obsess
I'm so in love with this product I already have 4 and want more I have (rendezvous ,honey, sweetheart, romantic) and this product is so great people probably think I'm crazy buying different shades from the product but I love it, it actually does it job and stains my lips even after long days and eating the color is still there. it doesn't dry my lips it's very moist and easy to apply try it! I highly recommend them they are in any drugstore
These balm stains are my favorite lip product ever, and after buying Sweetheart and Romantic, I decided to try Rendezvous. I guess with the other two, because they're more pink-toned, it wasn't a problem that the product isn't opaque, but it was a huge problem with Rendezvous. The fun, orangey-coral color over my natural lip color turned out uneven, and again, because it's slightly sheer, it looked smudgy around the edges. The overall effect was of a child who's been eating some sticky candy. I'm going to stick to pinks and reds in this color range, and avoid the orange and lavender.
(Updated review!!!) Rendezvous, Charm. Crush, Sweetheart, Adore
Rendezvous was the first one I bough and the pigment's fantastic. It's such a fun color. Lasted about 3 hrs, which is good enough for me; any less than that is too much time spent on touch-ups. I love that it comes in a crayon because it's easy to line my lips. Worth the price. **2nd: Over time, I got Charm. A pretty nude & subtle splash. When I first wore it, a guy-friend told me I have nice lips! **3rd: Crush! My fave/most worn! Can be worn day & night. Introduced it to my friends and we all wore the same color one night. This is a great color if you're just transitioning to darker colors. I was scared of darker colors until this! ***4th & 5th: Sweetheart & Adore are my newest ones. Sweetheart is taking me time to get used to, but it's still a loveable, bright, juicy pink. Fun & flirtatious for spring & summer. Adore is a red with warm undertones that will be great for any color skin. It makes my teeth look whiter. Don't be scared of how dark it is. It can be light & you can build it up. This is the first red lip color I actually like.
Beautiful Summer Color!
I have recently become obsessed with lip products and during the summer this orangey shade (Rendezvous) was my FAVORITE to wear. I got really bored with wearing lipstick and lip gloss in the summer so I wanted to try a stain. I went with this really pretty orange color which is really nice for WOC. It's not too pigmented that it's over-powering but not to sheer that it's barely noticeable; a nice wash of color. The tube is very accurate to the product color which is a plus when buying it at the store. These do have a minty scent to them, which I personally don't mind, but if you do then you might not like the smell. What I like most is that these twist up so I don't have to sharpen it. My only complaint is that the the glossy shine doesn't last for as long as I would like. Overall, I would definitely recommend this product.
Pros: - Price - Availability - Pigmentation - Shade Range - Moisturizing (But always apply a balm underneath) - Packaging
Cons: - Glossy finish can fade
I don't know why I didn't feel like I had to buy this before.. I needed a red-orange or orange lip color for my Halloween costume. I wanted something that would last a long time and this does - only wish it would all day. It's creamy but not sticky or gooey. I've had no trouble with it wearing off when I also use chapstick. It's definitely not as drying as I thought it would be and the color is noticeable with a couple swipes. This is a repurchase.
Revlon's Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains are a kinda new lip product. I'm a little late on reviewing these, they came out just a couple of days before I left America. If you've been reading my blog for a while, you might remember that I quite liked Revlon's Just Bitten stain in Gothic , so I expected to like this product as well. Revlon calls their Just Bitten Kissable balms a "pampering balm fused with a lightweight lip stain in an adorable chubby crayon". This product claims it'll give "smoother, softer lips with a perfect flush of color that lasts hour after hour. Revlon also mentions that 100% of women found these moisturizing. This stain/balm combo is available in 12 shades, I have Rendezvous, a coral. My Mum picked this up for me at Walmart for between $6-7, with a dollar off coupon. I've seen these sell for as high as $9. Revlon products are not tested on animals and are made in the USA. Many bloggers consider this product to be a dupe for Tarte's Lipsurgence pencils, though I can't confirm that because I haven't tried them. Packaging is a short, chubby, plastic crayon that matches the color of the product. The cap fits on firmly, combine that with the compact size and you have a purse and pocket friendly product. This balm stain twists up, but doesn't sharpen, so eventually you'll have a blunt tip after enough use. Am I the only one who thinks these look a little bit naughty when you twist them up? Sorry I'll grow up. The packaging merely features the name of the product and shade, in English and French. I'm unsure about Revlon's Balm Stain texture. Revlon calls it a gel, but I find it pretty waxy and a little sticky, not moisturizing or drying. It applies easily enough, though it doesn't glide on quite as easily as I thought it would. This product feels a little bit heavy on my lips, similar to how Revlon's Lip Butters feel, but waxier. The texture kinda reminds me of cheap lip balm, the kind that doesn't moisturize and just kinda sits there. These balm stains go on with a satin finish, but it only lasts about twenty minutes, after that it flattens out to a matte finish. The color of Rendezvous fades to a soft pink with coral hints, and wears for about 3-4 hours, which is good wear time for me, but I have problems keeping lip color on. The color of Rendezvous, pre fade, is really pretty. It's a true coral, the perfect balance between orange and pink. It looks quite orange in the tube, but it swatches and wears more pink on me. In the tube Rendezvous looks like it has shimmer, but it comes across as more of a sheen or glossiness when I wear it. Rendezvous is bright, and kinda warm, but I feel like I pull it off well. I also like the toned down color it fades into. My mum randomly chose this color for me. Well not entirely randomly, she typically goes for corals herself, but either way, good job Mum. I don't dig the taste/scent of Revlon's Just Bitten balms. It's very strong and kinda reminds me of menthol cigarettes. Ew, that's not what any lip color is supposed to taste or smell like. Luckily it doesn't last very long. This product is so strongly minty that it made Mum's eyes water. I guess that's what causes the slight, pleasant tingle upon application though. There are a couple things I don't like about Revlon's new Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains, mainly just the slightly waxy texture and the flavor that makes me feel like I've just been smoking. However, I'm will, ing to overlook both of those things because I like the color of Rendezvous and the way it wears. The shade selection is decent, enough to suit most people's tastes. Packaging is neat and functional, kinda innovative, at least on the drugstore level. The price is fair for the amount of product you get. I would repurchase Rendezvous, but probably won't grab any other shades. I've already recommended this product to a few people in person, and I would recommend it to my readers too.
Love these to death!!
I have all these stains which took me a while to get. But I love them all to death, and use them almost everyday alone, or under a lipstick (so when the lipstick fades, a stain will still be there. I dont like the nudes though, just because to me, they don't stain my lips as well as others.
Perfect dupe!
These are the perfect dupe to Tarte's LipSurgence Lip Stains. They are extremely moisturizing and the perfect pigment. The color is build-able, so it can be as sheer or as intense as you would like! Once the color stains & sets, it lasts for at least 4hrs... that I've tested! I pray that these are permanent because I will never buy another LipSurgence stain again... They are amazing!
Oh, and they have that mint tingle, too!
