Great Pigmentation & Easy To Blend
I received the Palette 13 in my 2018 Beautylish Lucky Bag and have been loving it so far. I also currently own the Star Palette so I knew what to expect as far as quality and such but these 5 pan palettes are a great way to get your toes wet with the formula and see if you like it. I'm not normally one who is obsessed with high pigment eyeshadows because they can be hard to blend but ND eyeshadows manage to be super pigmented but still incredibly easy to blend which is super important with such bright and bold colors. I wasn't sure how much I would like the shades in Palette 13 but once I got them on I actually really liked it and I think it would be a good one to try since it has a nice balance of textures. Definitely worth a try if you really want to try ND eyeshadows without the commitment of one of the larger palettes.
Disappointed
I got palette 13 in my lucky bag and was so excited to try these shadows because of all I'd heard. The three matte shades are wonderful and buttery and blend easily. I do have to build them up on my fair skin but I think they're great. However, the two end shades look pretty in the pan but not on the eye. They do not blend well and are quite patchy...even with my Wayne Goss brushes and they aren't nearly as colorful as they appear. I also found that using them together, they tended to muddy together and look like one color after a couple of hours. Maybe I'm using them wrong? I use Urban Decay primer and Cover FX setting spray.
Not long lasting
The colors for this palette are beautiful and they blend like a dream. I have been really disappointed in the longevity. I typically prime my eyes with MAC 24 hour eye primer followed with a paint pot. This keeps my shadow perfect for over 12 hours with no creasing at all. I look a mess with these shadows after about 6 hours for some reason. I have tried a variety of different bases with no improvement.
Beautiful palette! I’ve always wanted to try Natasha Denona, and I was lucky enough to get palette #13 in my Lucky Bag. Every color except the light color is smooth, pigmented, and blendable without disappearing. I don’t usually wear greens, but the green shade in this palette has a brown base (green/brown duochrome) so it looks beautiful on my olive-tan skin. All the colors work together too! I will definitely purchase more products from this brand.
Very good 3-matte palette
I picked palette 13 for the 3 mattes but i also love the duo chrome Pijina and the other shimmer shade. A little goes a long way for these shadows! I love the cream as an all over lid base or on it's own for a vintage winged eyeliner look. Lasts all day with or without eyeshadow primer IMO. Too pricey for what it is tho since I get the same quality for less with my KVD palettes.
Nice, but...
Okay, so I feel pretty wrong for giving this product 4 stars in comparison to 5 stars, but hear me out. I feel like ND gets a lot of (deserved) hype on her eyeshadows, but... I am not really finding a big difference between this brand and other brands. Yes, this product is a 5-star product, but I have not PERSONALLY found this one to be the holy grail of eye shadows. Other brands give ND a run for her money. I have been on a makeup purchasing kick for the last year, and I promise you --- I do not reach for this palette. Of my collection, it's probably one of the last ones I think to use, and it's a shame to feel that way when you spend this money. Again --- 5 star product, but I gave it a 4-star due to the price in comparison to competing brands who have just as good quality.
