Mat Velvet + Matifying Foundation

Drugstore brands make me break out, melt off my face or look mask-like and cake-y on my oily skin so I told myself that I'd invest a little more in my face. I originally set out to buy Benefit's Hello Flawless! Oxygen Wow but the SP told me that there wouldn't be enough coverage.

So far, I love the texture on my skin and it's not heavy. It also blends perfectly with my skintone despite my thoughts that it was a bit light while at the counter. Yes, it's a bit pricey at RM149 but it's worth it for the result I get. Whenever I wear it, I use a tiny bit and blend it out. My acne scars look like freckles (which is an effect I'm kind of liking). I normally top it off with a bit of pressed powder and I won't get oily (unless I'm running around outside all day for errands - then I'll probably need to blot after six hours of wear). Malaysia's pretty humid, so it being light on the skin and shine-free is a blessing. Highly recommend if you're looking for great coverage, and have oily skin.

This has incredible coverage so if you aren't light handed with your brush... you'll end up with a mask on. On a day to day basis I wear it only in my Tzone and blend it out, it just flawlessly evens out my skin without it looking like I really have anything on. For big events and so on of course I apply it all over, just need to be easy with it or like I said.. mask and cakey gross looking! After I have on all of my makeup (bronzer blush shadows) I spray the Makeup Forever Setting Spray and it all just melts into my skin. Talk about staying power! My makeup doesn't budge! When applying it, use a brush or a beauty blender.. stipple or circular motions and your good to go;)

No matter how many different foundations I try, I ALWAYS go back to this one. I cannot say how much I love this foundation, I have really oily skin and although my nose still gets shiny it has great coverage but you can't find traces of makeup like some full coverage foundations. I HIGHLY recommend!

Just recently purchased this foundation to switch up my look from dewy to matte and I love it! Keeps my face looking fresh and natural but still gives me great full coverage. The color matches my skin perfectly as well! I love this foundation!

i love it. with a thin layer of primer, this foundation lasts me all night (it even stays on all night when I get too lazy to wash it off) Also it blends sooo easily and feels soo light but it provides medium to full coverage. It is definitely build-able. Normally I don't even need to set this foundation (because the finish is matt and is dry enough already) but for times where I know it will be humid and I will sweat a lot, I dust a light layer of translucent powder over my face. I am allergic to a lot of foundations and have been using Shiseido all my life up until Christmas, this is the only foundation that did not break me out (other than shiseido).
