Concealer C18
I'm always on the hunt for a great concealer & with winter fast approaching I decided to check out a few brands. But I was really concerned about which color to order as there are so many options out there & online shopping can be a true leap of faith. But, I'm glad I took that leap of faith on Jeffree Star's concealers. Starting with the ballet slipper applicator design. It's angled to smoothly apply the concealer. What's amazing is the formula! It smooths & plumps my eye area. Watching the benefits of this concealer on my skin was a pleasant surprise. It also seems to have a blurring effect! I ordered the shade C18 which is a beige-ish color with a hint of peach for covering dark spots. It really does work wonderfully & didn't cake, crack or settle noticeably into my eye's fine lines. I don't use setting powder around my eyes & this formula didn't seem to need it. Someone could have different needs or wants from their concealer but for me this concealer works perfectly on my skin texture. Thank you Jeffree Star & Beautylish!
I have mature skin, so I can’t/don’t use much concealer, of any brand, or if I do It will show all my fine lines and wrinkles. I have to moisturize very well under my eyes, which I do anyway, I have noticed with the brand it’s super hydrating and leaves a nice soft look even before I set it with my powder! I’m so impressed! I read reviews on Morphe’s site and a few on this one before purchasing, but honestly, I like to try for myself, if it’s super high end then I tend to take peoples views more before purchasing, but for $22 bucks....I’ve spent way more on concealer!! I think I could go a shade or two lighter? But really happy with the formula!
Hard to find shade for medium tan
c18 turned orange on me. There is no medium golden shade. Like Ginger from Nars or Medium shade From tarte shape tape. It was a struggle to decide which shade I was. But then... The formula is not full coverage. I still enjoy my Loreal Infallible Concealer in 385.
Feels creamy, dries down terribly dry
I had high hopes for this, I have tons of his other products and have always been pleased (I actually ordered this in three different colors for different times of year/if I'm tan or not, etc). My undereyes aren't usually dry, but I do have hereditary dark circles. The color matches were good, that's a positive, but this formula is atrocious. I tried applying it multiple ways, I looked like the cryptkeeper around the eyes. My fiance even said it looked terrible, and I switch between several concealers currently, but they cover dark circles and leave my underyeye area creamy. I guess for blemishes it might work but I don't need it for that, and I tried using it on my face, but it still dries down soooo powdery (which if that's what you want, the product would be great, but if your skin is at all dry it is terrible). Also, the packaging is not luxurious, it's cheap. It looks cheap and feels cheap, I was disappointed, expected much more.
