Good longlasting product, incorrect shade for me
Similar to my review on the Medium IT Corrector, I found the Tan shade concealer a miss for my skin tone. For colour reference, I use the following foundations: KA SSE FX11/KA SSF SF08/ND Glow #75/ND Phenomattic #7/also matched to MAC NC43.5.
The Tan was too light. After colour correcting (using my usual correctors and not the IT Medium shade corrector) my dark under circles (which are not severe) were "lightened" but the shade was just a bit too cool still, so I was still aware of seeing "lightened dark circles".
There needs to be an additional shade or two between the Tan and Deep concealer shades.
3 stars given for product longegivity plus it's a cost-effective product, since only a little bit is required. Too much product = thick, cakey + dry look. However, just like the IT Medium Corrector, the product needs to be worked and blended into the skin before setting with powder. Warming it with the fingers helps.
cakey!
I really had high hopes for this concealer after hearing all the good reviews but unfortunately it wasnt as good as i expected! no matter what method i try it caked badly under my eyes. i used it with a brush sprayed with fix plus and with damp beauty blender and mixed with under eye brightner on another occasion and it still looked super dry and cakey ..i set it with my laura mercier powder that i have been using for ages and worked wonderfully with all other drug store and high end concealers..but didnt help this bye bye undereye to look any better on me..i won't repurchase it..
Yes!!
I have extreme dark circles under my eyes and I LOVE the salmon tone of this concealer under my eyes! A lot of people say this product is too heavy and creases BUT with a light hand and good blending, it is beautiful!!! The key is a light hand and blend, blend! Set right away and I find that when I work with one eye at a time, it sets better. The consistency is watery but it does have some thickness to it. It is very pigmented and does not move, which I love. Tan works for me when I do not want an extreme highlight.
