All Over Color Stick

cute but dries out quickly

When I first got this product I thought it had cute packaging and a cool concept. A chubby, mini all over color stick- what a great idea! To use a phrase that's popular around here, you basically get what you pay for. I think these sticks were around a buck, at Target. When swatched the Golden Peach shade comes up more gold, than peach- because there is a ton of gold microglitter in the stick and the peach base is not very pigmented. If one is looking for a peachier, creamier highlighter- look elsewhere. For a sheer, golden with hint of peach highlighter this is ok. My main issue is that the product is quite dry thus making it somewhat unusable for me. For a buck I don't mind not using it, but I probably will try to resurrect it somehow, perhaps applying the color with a foundation brush from the stick, instead of drawing on the product with the stick and blending. If you add layers the peach color does show up better, but more effort is involved. Layering the swatch on my hand makes the peach pop more. Because its so dry (but not overly) blending too, is not the best either. But in a jiff, this is a cute highlighter ( I like ELF highlighters in the tubes better) and can be carried around pretty well (although the packaging is flimsy and cheap- might break). It has a fruity-ish scent and apparently you can wear it on, eyes, lips and face (hence the lovely acronym).

1-3 dollar highlight

Comparable products would include Benefit Highbeam, Girl Meets Pearl, a Skinfinish from MAC. All of these are wonderful products, but much pricer. I would say for the price this product does the trick. Highlighting is one of the least important aspects of make-up basics in my opinion. With that being said this allows you to do it on a budget, a really good budget! I would recommend some new or seasoned with beauty to give this a go for 1-3 bucks you're not really breaking the bank!

its okay

I have this on golden peach which is a beautiful color if you have medium skin and I loved it when I first got it. Its great if you have perfect skin but if you don't it can really enhance your acne and bumps since its quite shimmery. I love it on my "good skin" days as a highlighter on my cheek bones but wouldn't repurchase since it also has some chucks of glitter here and there...

Gross

I love elf, but these are disgusting! When i first put it on, it was sticky, impossible to blend, and smelled horrible! Yet I love all other elf products, not this one :/

I really love the golden bronze color it adds but I agree that it's hard to blend. It leaves a harsh line but it's good cause it doesn't add too much color. You can definately work with it by adding more if you want more color or adding a little for a more subtle color. ELF has great products and this is one of them but not the best they make.

Too shimmery.

As a blush, it's too shimmery but i still use it for nighttime. As a lip color, it just looks kind of gross on me, but mabe a girl with darker skin could pull it off. i really do like it as a lid color though, but other than that I really don't use it that much. :) Maybe it would be better in other colors, but I wouldn't reccomend Golden Peach.
