I'm conflicted.
I love this and also... don't. I love the finish I was left with. For once I didn't look cakey and actually looked like I had skin instead of paint layered on my face. I however felt like it wasn't true too what it said. 4 drops for full coverage? I had too at least use 8 too get it too full coverage. At four it was just still too sheen for me. I would have also liked it a shade lighter, but I'm one of those girls who has trouble finding almost white foundation... I like how my face looked though with this and the mixing acpect is fun as well. So it'll be fun to test out all the possibles that I can.
Custom Cover Drops are a game changer!
The future is here guys, and it's looking flawless!
Found out about this beauty on you tube and i had to track these down to try for myself. So glad i found out about beautylish as it has changed my life! First off have to say that the service from beautylish is outstanding. Being in New Zealand, Cover FX is very hard to come by. I searched online and came across beautylish straight away. After chatting to Alicia on the live chat about what colour she would recommend to me she offered to send me some testers of the 2 shades i was thinking about, for free! I Have never come across an online company being so willing to help me out before i had purchased anything! The samples were here in less than a week and there was enough in each pot to last me months. I hopped straight online and ordered my products and haven't looked back!
Right on to the cover drops. These. Are. Incredible. They are a pure pigment liquid, which means a little goes a loooong way. They are designed to not be used on there own, but rather mixed into your existing foundation (to either correct the shade to lighten/darken it and/or create extra coverage) or to be mixed into any other skincare you may use. The options are endless from primers to moisturisers to even beauty oils! I know right? With well over 20 shades in different undertones, you are pretty much guaranteed to get your exact match!
I love mixing a couple of drops into my primer to give me the most natural and dewy finish ever. And then i mix another drop or two in with what ever i have left over from what i have just mixed and used that to give any blemishes or flaws i may need extra coverage on. 4 drops is said to be total coverage (more than full coverage!) OH it is BUT it does not look cakey at all. Even mixed in with a full coverage foundation, it just works like magic. And the great thing is, it really is customisable. You customise the colour, coverage and finish (great for ANY skin type as you use your OWN skincare products).
Being super pale i struggle to find a shade light enough for me. But now i can use all of the foundations i have that a bit too dark with a custom cover drop that is slightly lighter than my skin tone and it makes it a perfect match.
The only con i have come across thus far is that it can get a little messy around the screw top neck of the bottle seeing as the product is very thin (yet not watery), however with a little clean up and extra caution, its not a huge issue and does not have any bearing on the final performance of it.
It is great value for money as a little bit goes a long way, i can see it lasting a ridiculously long time, even with daily use.. It comes in a sleek wee bottle with a dropper that you use to dispense the product. The custom drops blend into any medium you are using, instantly. No fuss no muss. It really is that easy.
Honestly try this. You will fall in love and the options are endless. It is so much fun experimenting with different skincare products to get different finishes. I have psoriasis on my face and can even use it in my psoriasis ointment and get the best of both worlds.
The future is flawless. And so is my skin now! :)
Great coverage, great finish, easy to use
I like to use a few drops of argan oil and a few drops of the foundation together when I use this. I have pretty dry skin and I like that I can make this dewy or matte depending on the products I mix it with. I have some acne scars and sometimes I get a breakout and I've always been really frustrated with how none of my foundations would cover up the redness of a blemish but this one covers perfectly. I wish I had this when I was dealing with a lot stronger acne because that was a really frustrating time trying to get something that worked for me. I like that you can customize your coverage from just making it a basic tinted moisturizer to making it into a full coverage routine. I like to apply it with my beauty blender and then just use any left over to spot conceal any extra redness because it works better than any of my concealers as well. I have very light skin with pink undertones and P20 worked pretty well for me. I wish they had a P10 option but it's nothing a little highlighter (and by that I mean basically a white shade of something, lol) can't fix.
