Custom Cover Drops (Retired)

The colour match was perfect, the formula was super high coverage. However I wouldn't recommend this for people with dry skin as it did appear quite patchy and didn't blended well over dry skin despite using a face oil. Also within 2 days of using this and no other new products, my face has broken out in small pimples and skin irritations. Unfortunately will not be repurchasing.

I love it however the only problem i have with this product is if you don't use it for a while the oil rises up and dropper doesn't pick up any of the product from the bottle..

I really love this product, I cannot say it enough. I've had some skin issues over the past few years and naturally the first instinct is to cover it up, unfortunately when most of us start to use makeup we are not too conscious of what we are doing to our skin. These Custom Cover Drops have allowed me to add coverage to my foundations without having to use concealer as well as correct the shade of some products I bought and gave up on for lack of coverage or wrong shade. That's a plus, because you can salvage some products you thought were a waste of money. The shade G30 works well for my NC20/25 skin tone, though I wish it were slightly more yellow. Also some foundations that used to make me breakout don't when combined with the drops, perhaps it's something to do with the ingredients.

I've been using this for the past three months and my skin has improved with this product because I am able to use less makeup and let my skin breath more on a daily basis. More coverage in one or two light layers verses concealer and added layers of foundation is much better for the skin. I literally have not used concealer once since I purchased a few months ago, with the exception of a color corrector where needed.

The packing needs to be changed. It looks great and perhaps the a dropper makes sense for the delivery of the product since it is meant to be used a bit at a time. But I am getting close to my last 1/4 of the bottle and the dropper seems to not be working. The product does start to thicken a bit after a while I've noticed, even with shaking, but not too thick that it shouldn't be coming out of the dropper. It's as if there isn't any product left, but clearly there is because it is all over the inside of the lid and it gets all over my hands and such. So I have to tap/pour on a mixing palette now. A squeeze tube with a spout will make less of a mess while sticking with the same delivery system of one drop at a "time". That's the only reason I gave it 4, not 5 stars.

I did not think this product will be this good , until now I did not use it alone , I use it twice with primers and it was medium to full coverage , stand up on my face for 5 hours , I love it ❤️❤️

Waste of money. I couldn't get this to do ANYTHING for me and I tried them with EVERYTHING. Very gimmicky. Not worth the hype. And definitely not worth your time. Disappointed.

I always have so many problems to find a good foundation for my mixed type of skin. This product is a savior ! I mix it with Bioderma pore refiner for my oily zones, which gives a nice matte finish and I mix it with a DIY batch (jojoba oil, vitamin e+c, hyaluronic acid) for my really dry zones. I apply it with a beauty blender, patting carefully, for a very natural finish. It offers a nice medium coverage with only a few drops ! I will certainly buy G40 for when I need a lighter coverage, putting in just one drop :-).

Overall, brilliant idea. Similar product to this would be the Kevyn Aucoin's SSE but I actually prefer the Custom C. Drops as it is liquid and the amount you add into whatever you are adding it to can be easily measured in 'drops'. Also love the fact that you can add this to your sunscreen making it a high spf (I wear high spf sunscreens) foundation.

Con: Easily spill-able. The inside does not have like a plastic cover what-cha-call-it so make sure to not it over when it is unscrewed.

Shade reference: I wear g30. I'm nc20-23 isn, Chanel Foundation in 20 (sometimes mixed with 10), Dior 011+ a smidgen of 020, Charlotte T.'s Light wonder in 3, Kevyn A.'s SSE in 5.

I received a sample of this and the KA sensual skin enhancer from the wonderful Melanie as I was in the market for a new foundation and couldn't commit to just one. To test it out, I added a few drops into a basic moisturizer (CeraVe) and mixed it on the back of my hand and to my horror, it didn't mix in. It just looked like old foundation that had separated. It had a weird gritty texture which I think is the pigment in the base. For the sake of experimentation, I went ahead and tapped it on to my face a la Karima of Shameless Fripperies. I do have to say it has beautiful coverage, but for me, it highlighted dry patches and it does cling to flakies. Overall, I love the concept of custom coverage but I personally think that it takes time to find perfect pairing for these drops.

This product is beyond brilliant - I cannot recommend it enough! If you're someone like me who's tried almost every foundation & concealer out there and struggle to find something that performs in terms of finish and coverage, then you'll be THRILLED with this. I always wear a sunscreen with high SPF during the day but a lot sunscreens don't get along with a lot of foundations. Then Cover FX came up with the perfect solution - I now have a foundation with high SPF, in a shade that matches my NC25 complexion exactly (G30) with the level of coverage I can control. I also mix the tiniest drop with my eye cream to use as a crease-proof undereye concealer. And I apply it "neat" with a precision liner brush for spot concealing. The first time I used this miracle product my husband actually said my skin looked amazing (trust me, this is noteworthy!). I'm going to stock up on this because if it's ever discontinued I don't think there'll be enough Prozac in the world to help me cope :-)

I am a foundation junkie, and I am constantly looking for my perfect foundation. And I have found it in this Cover FX Cover Drops. I know it is meant to be added in other foundations or moisturizer, but I use it by itself as a foundation. I am soooo in love with this, it makes my skin look so perfect. I can customize it to be sheer or to cover literally everything. It gives no flash black, and it does not make my foundation look cakey whats so ever. It is a must buy!!
