Magic Foundation

I recently purchased 3 shades from this product 3.5, 5 and 8. I am a makeup artist by profession and I am Asian. 3.5 and 8 are great for Asian skin tone. But the #5 was a bit too pinkish for our skin tone. I think swatches on the arms should be shown in the product details just to have a better view of the shade. The formulation is definitely not dewey if that's what you're looking for. It is a semi-matte foundation. I like it because it does not feel heavy on the skin. It creates a medium to full coverage. It settles into fine lines and wrinkles but I'm not sure if this was caused by the setting powder I used. I have yet to try this out more but so far I am happy with it's staying power. It works well on oily skin :) I will be purchasing probably 2 more shades 4.5 and 6 to complete my kit.

I'm 63yoa and have always had troubled skin..One of my tests that I do when trying out a new foundation is to sleep with it on my skin all night! This foundation was perfect, no clogged pore or any problems what so ever.The color I chose was 5 and it matched me perfectly.My skin looked good all day long.It went on like a dream and really made my skin discolorizationsl look invisable.It's kinda pricey but it's worth it.I love this foundation!

Medium coverage and easy to blend. The shade surprisingly matched with my skin color, where I usually got difficulties in finding the correct shade. Can't easy it is a "magic" but reasonably lasting on my face.

I love the coverage of this foundation, after I beauty blend it on my face the appearance is so even and doesn't get cake even in this humid summer weather were having! The color is perfect! And hides a lot of my childhood acne scars. Very impressed! I learned of this foundation by watching a lot of Wayne Goss YouTube videos so a big THANK YOU goes out to him for introducing me to Charlotte Tilburys' products.and also for him teaching me how to apply an get the best coverage for my skin tone. Beautylish really is blessed to carry his products aswell! I'm still waiting for his Aniversary brush set to come back in stock!

The color matched me perfectly- I will start with that. Those pictures Charlotte has are very accurate in my opinion and in turn made selecting the foundation very easy over the internet. So props to her team for doing that.

Unfortunately this foundation just didn't wear like it is advertised to. It isn't full coverage- I'd say its a strong medium (if you are generous with the application). I have some redness around my nose that I always look at first when trying a new foundation. This foundation didn't cover it- at all. I had to apply a good amount of concealer to get the coverage I want. Normally, that isn't a bad thing. But this is being advertised as a full coverage foundation- I shouldn't have to be doing that. I found myself really trying to help the foundation cover my minor redness.

Now for the wear. It caked up throughout the day. I set it with my RCMA powder but around 2 hours of wear I was looking in the mirror in shock. It seriously looked like I had on a super thick foundation AND a thick foundation powder. We all know that look. That's what I was staring at. *I should note that the foundation isn't really super thick in consistency. I'd say it's a very normal feeling foundation right when you pump it out.

My skin type is normal-combo. Nothing really to write home about but after a full day of wearing this foundation (just at work. nothing special. no walking or sweating.) I was an oily mess many times. Normally a blotting paper would do but this felt different. I had the urge to really just take off my makeup after a couple of hours- I was feeling greasy.

I tried to make this foundation three separate days using different moisturizers, primers and even serums. I just couldn't make this work which is very odd for my skin. Charlotte Tilbury has such a beautiful line but this foundation is not my favorite and it's really disappointing.

I'm a foundation addict. I had to try a foundation that is advertised as magic. It trully is. Light weight, medium coverage with good luminosity. It lasts all day with one mid day blotting. Beautiful finish.

I have been dying for this to come to the states since it first came out and it was worth the wait! It definitely buffs out and diminishes my pores I have very oily skin but my oils are controlled all day!

I was pleasantly surprised with this foundation. I was surprises how seamless it is. Is melts into the skin and provides great coverage, albeit it's not full coverage but more medium to full, but I like it like. It evens out the skin tone, doesn't oxidize and lasts all day. It's also a great price. I highly recommend it.

Me in my new Charlotte Tilbury Magic foundation. I love it. I like the color match and how it blends it gives medium to full coverage and feels fantastic on my face. It can gather around dry spots so exfoliate before using the night before would be best
