Almost as magical as it claims
This is truly a beautiful foundation. Let’s talk the positives. Feels great. Looks natural. Easily buildable without getting cakey. Doesn’t fall into my fine lines. Last, my skin glows and can breathe while wearing this foundation. Magic! Why it didn’t get 5 stars? It isn’t not truly full coverage. I have some acne on my left cheek and I had to put three layers on to cover and still had to use concealer to cover the acne. Now, with that said, with three layers it still looked beautiful and not cakey. But if I have to continue to layer to get the full coverage, I fear I may go through the bottle quickly.
Great coverage and color but wish it wasn't matte
I love the color and coverage but I wish it was a more dewy glow. I haven't tried mixing in moisturizer or anything but will. I was torn between this and wonderglow or whatever the lighter one is but I liked the coverage of this. I have dry skin so I would like something a bit less matte. It is def. full coverage and the color is so great.
Average
I love Charlotte Tilbury products, but this was a disappointment. I have very dry, dehydrated, mature skin, so maybe this just isn't the best foundation for my skin type. It comes in a luxurious, frosted glass bottle with a rose gold lid and pump dispenser. It's a very thick foundation with medium, buildable coverage. It has a natural finish. On my skin it clung to dry patches, accentuated texture and pores, and settled into fine lines and wrinkles. It also tended to sit on top of my skin, looking heavy and cakey. This wasn't magic for me, but may be for someone else.
Very nice
I admit I was expecting really great things from a foundation calling itself "Miracle". Well, it's not a miracle foundation by any stretch of the imagination, but it is a very nice, medium, buildable foundation. It is thick, almost moussey. It blends easily. It can be sheered out or built up, depending upon your preference. The shade range is impressive. I have mature, dry, sensitive, extremely dehydrated skin. This foundation does cling to dry patches, magnifying any texture on the skin. I didn't find it to be at all hydrating, nor was it drying. It has a natural to slightly dewy finish and doesn't appear cakey or heavy. It does tend to settle into lines, but this can be remedied with a light dusting of powder (I like the IT Cosmetics' Bye Bye Pores or the RCMA No Colour setting powders). Over a primer it lasted for about 9 hours before it started to break down. I'd give it a B. Not HG for me (or likely for anyone over 45 with dry skin), but still a nice product.
The Name Says it All
I have been super struggling trying to find a foundation that doesn't irritate my dry patches nor make my oily t zone more oily, and this does the trick!! It is definitely more of a medium to full coverage foundation but if you use a thin layer it gives the most beautiful skin look! This foundation does not upset my dry patches caused by eczema and keeps my oily t zone in check, I love it!! Also the finish is amazing, it is not matte or dewy but really natural and once it sets it has a nice feel when you touch it! I recommend using a beauty blender to get a nice thin layer for a skin look or if you want fuller coverage you can use a brush. CT recommends using a bit on your fingers to go over blemishes or redness and let me tell you that is the best way to do it! I am so happy with this foundation and truly recommend it! My only negative (which is my fault, not being able to swatch the colors online) the color 4 fair was a bit too peachy for my skin tone and the foundation does oxidize a bit darker so I would say you might what to get a shade lighter. I have already ordered 3 fair but in the mean time I will use 4 fair because I love the foundation!
Exceeded My Expectations!
Over the past year or so I have really built up a foundation wardrobe with different finishes and coverage. I had heard many good reviews for the CT Magic Foundation so it was on my wishlist. I asked one of the wonderful CS reps at Beautylish to help me choose the correct shade. She nailed it! I have mature dry skin and was looking for good coverage that didn't look too heavy or "fake". I always begin with serum & CT Magic Cream. Then a light application of primer that smooths the look of larger pores in my T zone. I suggest going easy with the amount you apply because this is a full coverage foundation. You can always add a little more where needed. It covers beautifully and evenly without streaking. I used the MAC 170 foundation brush but I think it will work nicely with any dense flat top brush. I use a pressing or stippling motion to apply. It is a demi matte finish but it didn't get too dry or cakey on my dry skin. It didn't settle into fine lines or pores. The color stayed true and finish lasted all day until I took it off. This foundation has exceeded any and all expectations. Great Job, Charlotte!!
TOP SHELF FOUNDATION
I was gifted this and didn't expect to like this as much as I do because I read so many negative reviews of this foundation on other websites. I LOVE IT, I've tried nearly all of the highly recommended foundations on the market, but this blows 99% of them out of the waters. This gives you medium to full coverage, while looking natural, even in daylight - that's everything I want in a foundation, basically. #4 is also a PERFECT match for my Chinese skin tone, it leans yellow but doesn't overdo it. I apply it with a beautyblender and it doesn't sheer out too much like some foundations do. I cannot recommend this enough, I love this!
