Impressed - and I wasn’t expecting that
I was actually colour matched first in a store and given a sample, otherwise I would be reluctant to choose a colour on line, and also probably would have picked a lighter colour as I am an NC 15 or 20 at most, and many foundations oxidize dark on me thru the day. My skin does have a gold undertone in spite of being quite fair. I ended up being 3Fair and do not have problems with oxidization as long as I use primer and set it. I find it gives a lovely sheer application with a beauty blender but I can also get a decent application when I am in a hurry with my fingers (usually tap a B.B. on after), just goes on heavier. My skin is combo and I love that this is hydrating and doesn’t aggravate and amplify the drier areas and also doesn’t look too oily or slide around in the oilier parts. It also gives a nice poreless look without looking at all heavy, as promised. I have previously been using Guerlain, and while I considered that an HG foundation, I would rate this equal and easier to apply. I have also used Giorgio Armani and while it is pretty hard to top for a nice finish I won’t buy it again because of,the limited colour selection; I have found a much better colour match with this foundation and to me tha is more important as the key to a nice finish is really application technique.
Makes you look OLDER & CRUSTY
I've never written a review for a product before, because I've never felt passionately enough to do so. I am 29 years old. I'm young. I have smooth skin with very little texture. This foundation aged me 20 years, clung to every dry flake of skin I didn't even know I had, and looked HORRIBLE. And believe me, I moisturize religiously and quite well. I look better with no makeup at all than when I wore this. Why bother, then? I wanted to love it. Sorry.
Amazing!!
This foundation is for normal to dry skin and I wouldn't recommend it for someone who tends to be more oily! It is light-medium coverage and works amazingly well paired with the Wonderflow Primer. I literally feel as though i'm glowing when I walk out the door.
Beautiful light wonder
This foundation is amazing for dry skin. It applies smoothly, blends well and it feels like skin. The coverage is light but it can build up, I would say that it feels like a tinted moisturiser on steroids!!! It's glowey without being shiny and it's very comfortable to wear.Check my video on YouTube -on my Beautylish account for my full review and demo on this, the retouched and the powder.
Can be used on oily skin as well...but there's a caveat!
I purchased this foundation knowing in advance it's for normal to dry skin. I watched CT's videos on YouTube on application and followed her technique. After one hour my face was an oily mess. With that being said, I found a way to make this makeup work for me. I use a mattifying moisturizing gel first, then a mattifying primer. Then mix the Light Wonder Foundation with a full coverage matte finish foundation. (I used my Kat von D.) The two together gave me the full coverage look I wanted along with a more satin finish which looks more natural than a flat matte. I then finish off with CT's flawless finish powder in Fair 1.
Light and dewy
This foundation goes in very light, but still has a good coverage. The finish is definitely very dewy and "glowy". I have combination skin, so I feel I need to pat the T zone in the middle o the day, or press a paper towel to remove some of the oil from my skin. I'm stating to like the more dewy finish of this foundation, it certainly looks way more natural than the super matte finish I was used to.
