Perfect For Summer
I purchased the Light Wonder foundation looking for something with a lighter amount of coverage for the summer months. Most of the other foundation I own is medium to full coverage, and just felt too heavy for hot and muggy city days.
I have to say, Light Wonder is exactly what I was looking for, and more. While the foundation always feels light on the skin, the coverage is buildable and I do feel like you can build it up to medium coverage. I use it with a damp sponge, or with my fingers if I am rushing out the door. It is super easy to apply either way.
For color matching, I am very fair with cool undertones and the 02 Fair shade was a perfect match for me. I highly recommend this foundation and know it will see me through summer and beyond.
Sheer
Now I have dry skin, and I really love this. However this is a short step up from glossier skin tint, which is what I wanted. If you want coverage, you will not like this. I will say I feel like this wears well and feels like nothing is on your skin. It evens my tone and tones out the redness in my cheeks. It doesn’t accentuate my dry patches.
BEST FOUNDATION I HAVE EVER USED
I have been searching for a foundation that suits my extremely dry and sensitive for the longest time. This foundation didn't emphasise my dry patches or texture on my skin. Though I still have problem at my smile lines but it happens with most foundation. So I am fine with that. The coverage is light to medium. For reference, I am between NC15-20 and 2 fair suits me well. But it leans more towards pinkish undertone.
Great Foundation but not for sensitive skin
I have dry sensitive skin and I have had this product for about a week and half with everyday use. At first it made my skin look amazing I felt like a celebrity but then my skin started to form a reaction. This reaction was not acne but my skin felt more sensitive and red after about the fifth day I really wanted it to work for me but the small amount of fragrance that is in the product is too much for my skin to handle. I would suggest it if you have non-sensitive skin.
Love love love!
I'm huge fan of nars and Becca for foundation and after reading the reviews thought I'd try this. Reviews are helpful in that it is buildable with my beauty blender and I do like a medium to full coverage so blend in 3 times. The payoff is with it with my foundation looking flawless all day. I have this colour and darker medium 6 for days when I have a tan. Looks amazing over flash balm. Would highly recommend!
By far the best foundation in a very long time!
I have been using Charlotte's magic cream, wonderglow and light wonder foundation for a week now and I am hooked. I will never use anything else. I love that you do not see the foundation. It's me but better. Finish is dewy but not oily. Foundation stays all day. I do use a primer (MAC mineralize timecheck lotion) after the magic cream so the foundation does not oxidize. I am not sure if I need it though. I did try By Terry foundation and primer but did not like it. Too dry. This is the ticket. I can not wait for the night cream. Charlotte's products are worth the money. I have tried 3 or 4 expensive foundation this past year, this is the only system that wowed me!
Clearing up my skin..
I have super dry dry skin. I moisturize and slap on the wonderglow then this in the shade 2. I picked the shade based on the reviews here and a few online sites. Its light feeling but definitely evens out the skin. 2 is perfect shade and I am very pale. In the past 2 weeks that I have been using it my skin has gotten so much clearer with no new breakouts. I think that's amazing. I have been let down only by a few products in this line but I really like this and it looks like skin, flawless skin.
Perfect
I can't go a day without using this product. It is similar to a tinted moisturizer but gives great coverage and keeps my face from breaking out. If I want a heavier night look I just mix it with another foundation because I still want the magic from this foundation on my face.
Not for Dry Skin
The only let down i had with this foundation is that it accentuated the dry patches in my skin. The foundation claims to illuminate, smooth, hydrate, minimise pores and reduces wrinkles but i don’t think this is a very accurate claim. It definitely didn’t hydrate my skin or minimise pores. I think due to its super runny and some-what oily formula, it automatically clung to any dryness in my skin. Even when i moisturised really well, it didn’t take long for the foundation to sink and highlight any flaky-ness i had.
you have to shake up the product quite well to make sure that it hasn’t separated and isn’t too watery. It has a light coverage, which i do like and feels light on the skin, which is also really good.
But i was just expecting a lot more, especially from charlotte tilbury.
