The worst thing I have ever tried
I was really excited about trying this product. I have acne prone skin and I was told that this was a good foundation that wouldn't irritate or cause new blemishes. I didn't break out because of it which I liked. That was the only thing that I liked about it though. This foundation had the shortest wear time of any makeup that I have ever tried. I applied it at around 9 am while getting ready for class and by 10 am It was completely gone. It rubbed off on my clothes and stained them. It oxidized on my face and turned orange. The coverage was terrible. I had to use a ton just to get a sheer coverage. I also have some squint lines around my eyes and this product emphasized these. I will not ever purchase this product again.
Doesn't provide a lot of coverage
I have a very fair complexion and tend to blush a lot :/ I found while wearing Bare Essentials Power Foundation I wasn't getting as much coverage as I do with liquid foundation. My skin was smooth, however, and if I didn't have blushing problems I would be more fond of the product.
really like it, not in LOVE with it
Pros- I love how it glides on the skin and feels so smooth as if you have nothing on. I have PCOS so I have what some may call a 6 o clock shadow? is that right? anyway... I get that in the afternoon and as long as I use the primer this stays on most of the day.
Cons- not full coverage... I can still see my pores, small pods, slightly expensive. the brushes fall apart within the first few uses.
all in all i give it a 4/5 it is smooth and looks good. i just use a small amount of another product for full coverage
Amazeballs.
This is the only foundation I can use without getting breakouts. Because of the pricing, I tried to switch to drugstore brands *mineral and liquid* and they worked for good coverage but they all made my skin worse. I used BM for 3 years and the minute I switched, it all went downhill. The second I started using it again, my skin cleared up within a week and people are constantly complimenting me. I use the lightest foundation color offered and its hard to find something that actually matches my skin tone without making me look gothic and this is where its at. My only dislike about this product is that it only lasts about 10 hours before it starts to look spotty, if I go out for the night... I usually have to reapply completely otherwise it gets cakey :(
Amazing but messy...
I love the Bare Minerals for how natural it is. I feel good about putting it on my face. I bought the kit about 2 months and love the products but find the brushes are already losing their shape after a couple washes. The products covers ok, probably light to medium but that is perfect for me. Great for everyday wear. Staying power is ok, but if you use the primer it usually lasts all day.
wonderful
I've been using bare minerals for five years and love it. The first one I bought lasted me two years. It was awesome. Then I bought the get started kit because it was a really good deal for the package with the brushes and it lasted a year. It covers nicely but make sure you dust it lightly else it may be a little obvious you powdered your face.
Meh
It does an okay job at evening out your skin and making it look nice, but I wouldn't recommend it for full coverage. It does not hide imperfections what so ever, not even my pores are hidden. Also wouldn't recommend if you ever get flakey skin, this doesn't help that either - even when I moisturize first.
Amazing Foundation
bare minerals foundation is da bomb. you can build it up to cover even the most problem skin, which i didn't think a powder would be able to do. at the end of the day you don't feel like your skin is dirty, like with most liquid foundations. an amazing foundation that i come back to time and time again!
I used this for years and switched back to liquid foundation because I just couldn't fall in love with this. It didn't cover well for me, and it didn't help my oily skin enough to warrant using it. I can see why people love it, but if you have combination skin, it can look cakey after a few hours. The look at the outset was very smooth, but after a day at the office, I felt like I was wearing a load of caked powder on my face.
