Really good volume!
This mascara gives really great volume and is actually buildable without getting really clumpy. I love how dark the color is, as well. There is no smearing or flaking, and it doesn't dry to give crispy lashes. The brush is also a reasonable size so you can get the smaller lashes on the corners of the eyes without stabbing your eye! It does seem like there can be too much product on the brush so you may have to scrape the brush if it clumps on you. Also, the formula is slightly on the wet side for a couple weeks until it dries out a bit but overall its a terrific mascara.
Works great with True Match foundation
I like this powder a lot. I do agree that the price seems a BIT high but it is a great powder. It has enough color in it that it adds an extra bit of coverage over the True Match foundation and brings the foundation up a notch. I hate powders with any glitter or sparkles, etc. and there IS a little bit of a "sheen" on this powder but it isn't enough to notice or be obnoxious. Also, because this has decent color and I don't have any big skin problems I sometimes just conceal and then buff this powder all over my face and that is good if I am in a major hurry or am feeling lazy! I do notice that if my t-zone gets oily throughout the day and I put this on it can get cakey, though, just to warn!!
Good, light foundation
I have used this foundation for years now. It is my go to foundation. It lasts all day on my skin (I have more dry vs. oily skin) and lasts even better with a primer under and a powder to set. The lasting power really would just depend on what type of skin you have. It is really blendable, and evens out the skin very nicely. Just a very small amount is needed. It is really light and is buildable on spots with more discoloration. The only thing that I don't like is that it has really subtle sparkles in it. They are not very noticeable for the most part but I still don't like that. I noticed that when I wear a face primer the sparkles don't seem to be as obvious, and also in the sunlight it is more apparent. But don't discount it because of that! It is still a great foundation. The color range is wide as well. I use a few different shades, that depend on the time of year and I am always able to find a good skin match.
Awesome and fun lipsticks!!
I have 7 different colors and here is their description along with my take on each:
Glamour 101 (opaque wine lipstick): This one was a bit disappointing for me just because I thought it was going to be a bit more of a true wine color. On my lips it seems more of a brick color - kind of brown with a tiny bit of red. But not to say it isn't beautiful. I use a red lipliner under and it adds that extra redness I want. But this color does not disappoint on pigmentation.
My Beautiful Rocket (true, luminous orange): As far as the description and picture on the site this one was the hugest disappointment. It is lacking a bit in color intensity and pigmentation but is slightly buildable. It just doesn't have the oomph factor I was looking for and that the picture had. I wanted a BRIGHTER orange!!
Airborne Unicorn (Medium violet-purple with a neon note): This one was just slightly darker in real life than the picture made it look. I imagined more of a slight pink undertone to make it more bright but in reality it's got more of a blue undertone giving it an ever so slight grey darkness to it while still being bright purple. I hope that gives you an idea of the color without making it sound bad...this color is great. Definitely not for everyone but a fun one to have; pigmentation is good.
Retrofuturist (True red opaque lipstick): This one is the perfect strawberry red lipstick. Kind of has a teeny bit of orange in it to brighten it; definitely a very light red, not a dark or deep red. Great pigmentation.
Centrifuchsia (deep, saturated fuchsia): The picture on the website definitely makes this one look a little more on the purple side but in real life it is ever so slightly lighter, and more on the hot pink side of the fuchsia range. This one is the least original color of all the ones I have but still pretty and great pigmentation.
Countessa Flourescent (Bluebased neon pink): This color is SUPER bright. When then say neon they mean it. It is way brighter than the pic on the site even. It is the brightest pink lipstick I own, and when I wear it people say it looks like Barbie's lips. So pretty and great to add to a bright makeup look OR make a statement on its own and pigmentation is great.
Coquette (Pale, peachy nude): This is my favorite nude lipstick that I have, and the color is perfect for my lips. It doesn't look as pale in real life as it does in their pic. The pigmentation is great as well.
Now to review their lipsticks as a whole...they are awesome. The pigmentation on them doesn't disappoint overall (keep in mind I have dark lips to begin with). They are sooo creamy and do not dry out my lips whatsoever. I don't even have to wear balm and gloss; these stay moisturizing all by themselves. The colors are really original for the most part and are so pretty. The color lasts a very long time and this is probably the best brand that I have tried as far as red colors feathering. That stuff is creamy but stays in its place! The only problem I have (small price to pay) is that the red colors kind of stain my lips and it is hard to remove. But the only reason these are not a full 5 stars is that I do not like the smell. I know it is supposed to be good, but to me it just smells like cheap vanilla cupcakes or canned frosting. It is not that cheap plasticky vanilla smell that lots of lower end lip products have by any means, just a bit too strong for my personal taste. I am sure that you will not be disappointed if you purchase any of these lipsticks, its a great brand - and come on, the packaging is just so CUTE! You'll just want to pull them out of your purse and reapply just to show it off, LOL :).
Really amazing polishes
This nail polish is really smooth and creamy - I have never experienced it to be thick or lumpy. The color is really opaque, even with just one coat. The polish goes on in a very thin layer, while still being opaque. It dries really fast too! The color selection is okay, there aren't many really bright colors; but the colors are all beautiful. This is really long lasting without chips, probably the best of any polish that I have personally used. I would recommend Lilacism and Peach Daiquiri. They are great colors!
Puro Amor is one of my favorite eyeliners
I really like KVD liquid eyeliner. I have six different colors of the autograph liner.
Puro Amore - My go to black liquid liner, it is very pigmented with just one stroke and the brush has just the right amount of stiffness while still being a brush (vs. felt tip). Very easy to get a thin or thick line and make a wing.
Love Metal - Gunmetal gray, looks nice, goes on a bit sheer but you can add another coat.
Eyegasm - Bright teal, great pigmentation, goes on smoothly
Brass Knuckles - Bright yellow gold, very pigmented, good formula
Homie - Dark plum purple, very dark and pigmented
Call Girl - Light greyish blue, formula is a bit lumpy and difficult to use, flakes easily
Overall, they are all very good with the black being the best. Brass Knuckles is also a favorite. Call Girl is the only real disappointment - I was expecting a bright blue so the color was a huge let down (I bought this one online) and the formula on this color is terrible - one of the worst I have used.
Also, as with all KVD products, the packaging is beautiful.
A great little palette
The shadows in this palette are typical of most Stila shadows - incredibly soft, pigmented, and flawlessly blendable. If you can get your hands on this little palette it is totally worth it. The shadows are all easy to use colors, with Flamingo being a nice addition to brighten a look up and Pacific and Coal being perfect for a smoky/darkened look. Be wary of fallout on the darker shades though - these can go on a bit powdery until you blend them into the skin. Also, I would recommend a sticky base if you use Flamingo, Pacific, or Coal on the lid or under the eyes because this will make the true color pop and help them last. The other three shades are great alone.
The two on the bottom left (Luster and Poetic) do not look that original, in fact don't look that much different from each other but when you use them together - Poetic on the lid and Luster in the crease - you would be surprised the contour that you are able to get, it is just beautiful.
One of my alltime favorite products
I love this eyeliner - I have used it since high school. I rarely use it so much as an all around eyeliner, but I use it anytime I line my waterline - almost everyday. It is super soft, SUPER pigmented and dark black, so it goes on effortlessly. It lasts ALL day and I don't even cover it with a black eyeliner or anything and rarely need to reapply it. It is perfectly blendable for a smoky look, too.
Hit and miss, depending on the shade
The colors that I have: Royal Linen (sheer, pale, nude color - slight sheen but almost matte, and comes off as a white), Backstage (light brown/taupe color with a pearly finish), Spicy Bronze (medium brown with a gold sheen), Plum Romance (medium matte plum color).
My overall opinion is that some of them are decent eye shadows. BUT after purchasing these four I don't think I will buy any ever again.
While the colors aren't really original, they are of higher quality than most drugstore eye shadows that I have used. Royal Linen isn't really impressive - it is just very sheer and comes off as a white on the skin, as opposed to a more nude or skin toned color like it looks in the pan. Backstage is beautiful and extremely soft and blendable. Spicy Bronze is incredibly pigmented, easy to blend, and a nice color. Plum Romance is useless.
Out of the colors I own, the really pearly ones are great - the softness of the shadows reminds me of certain Stila shadows - really good quality. But if you used just these shades you end up with too much shimmer and not enough definition between the colors.
The matte one is just horrible. The color pay off if not good, and trying to blend it on my eyes and keep a nice, deep color is impossible. I am assuming that the other matte colors in the Glam Eyes line are the same.
The two that I would recommend are Backstage and Spicy Bronze. I did a comparison with the Naked Palette - Backstage looks most similar to UD Sidecar, but Sidecar is a tiny bit more brown and has the larger glittery pieces. Spicy Bronze looks similar to Smog, but Smog is more truly brown, with gold undertones and doesn't have the bronzy red tone to it.
