Multi-tasking and fun!
The pointy shape to the TF3 is structured enough to get into the awkward angles of the face (am I the only one who has these?) and to pinpoint small areas where blush, bronzer or highlighter is needed, but with the slightest pressure, the point blends in with the surrounding bristles to buff and blend like a dream. It is so fun to use because it can do both small and larger areas with just a slight pressure change. The bristles are soft, but they have a different feel than my other Sonia G brushes - maybe less silky and a bit stiffer while still maintaining a softness and airiness that combined with the stiffness seems to be highly functional. The brush is beautiful with the amber tinged bristles and wood handle.
What a beautifully-shaped brush!
The angle on this brush hits the cheeks in the best way possible for a perfect application of blush. I love the softness and airiness while it still being able to deposit and diffuse color exactly where I want it. It is also fun to use! Just a gentle tapping motion is all it takes to get a beautiful flush.
Smaller than the typical laydown brush which makes it precise
The E4 is smaller than I would usually expect for a laydown brush and thinner as well. Because it is smaller, I find it well suited for detail work such as outer v or inner corner or under the brow highlighting or a structured crease line. It is sometimes difficult to find a brush that can do all that I just mentioned, and the E4 does everything beautifully! The bristles are soft and flexible but at the same time slightly firm and do not splay out at all.
I was hoping for a Sonia G. eyeliner type brush!
The Pencil S works great with gel and powder eyeliner as well as highlighting the inner corner of the eye and even creating a faux crease line for hooded eyes to add structure that isn't always achieved using larger crease brushes. The brush is small, pointy and firm but has a little flex in the tip for blending. The wood handle is beautiful, of course.
Full brush head but controlled application
I was hoping for a brush that would apply blush in one or two strokes and look blended and flushed. This brush delivered! It is just the right shape, density and softness to create a youthful, glow-y, flushed cheek look which I love and was unable to achieve with my other cheek brushes for some reason. So glad I caved in to purchase this! The one thing that I find unusual about the bristles is that they do not splay out like many of my other brushes do. It flexes and bends just enough to spread the cheek color, but the bristles seem to stay together which I've only ever experienced with synthetic brushes. It absolutely works, but I just found it interesting.
My favorite foundation brush (I’ve tried a lot of them)
I was skeptical of the square-ish shape and overall size - I couldn’t imagine how it would apply foundation…but in his promotional video, Wayne showed how to move the brush back and forth to polish foundation onto the skin and he said it gives a pore-less finish and said it’s incredible. He was right! It does polish the foundation in to a smooth pore-less finish and I found myself saying “incredible” when I first tried it. The application came out flawless and then everything else I put on after (bronzer, blush, concealer) looked smooth and flawless as well since the base layer was so polished!
Excellent crease brush for precision work
This brush is an excellent companion to the larger E3 crease brush as it is the same silky soft and bouncy hair quality which applies and blends color to the crease flawlessly., but the shape of the E2 is narrower, so it is more precise for deepening color in or beyond the crease. I’m enjoying playing around with this brush and am pleased with the smooth, airbrushed results I seem to get without much effort!
Like no other eye brush I own
This brush is so unique and the way it applies shadow is magical. The hairs feel incredibly silky and bouncy with a feel similar to Saibikoho goat hairs. I tried doing my crease the way Wayne shows in his promotional video, and it blended color in that area so beautifully. I can also get a nice edge (wherever I want one) with the point and then blend it out with the perfectly smooth tapered sides. The brush keeps it shape when used without splaying at all (from what I’ve experienced so far). I was worried that the shape would be lost once I washed it, but it’s still there, point and all! Amazing!
Classic Cheek is a must have! Perfection all around.
This brush is perfect in every way for my needs - perfect size, perfect amount of airiness, splays out beautifully while keeping its shape, perfect softness, beautiful handle that is easy to hold...I just love it! My favorite use for this brush is a wash of color over the cheeks which is seamlessly diffused right from the start (no need to swirl, blend and buff). Another use I love is for bronzer. It has the ability to place light washes of bronzer on smaller areas of the face as a last step to warm up the complexion and look beautifully sun-kissed without going overboard. Excellent!
I have been needing this exact brush!
This is the brush that has been missing in my collection - a smaller size head that holds its shape well, is velvety soft and slightly flexible at the tip to blend and diffuse blush without it going all over my face. Sonia G does a super job designing the smaller brushes that do as excellent a job as their larger counterparts but are perfect for people with smaller faces/subtle features. I wish I could make use of all the large, fluffy brushes out there, but I do best with these small but mighty designs. Really nicely done! I don't know how I missed it from the original Fundamental collection, but I'm very happy it has returned! The walnut handle is smooth and lightweight to hold and beautiful to look at.
