Good but not quite the best

So I was hearing great things about this foundation and I needed to buy a new one so I decided to splurge and get this hello flawless. When the sales assistant put it on me, it looked great, a good coverage with a glow - all I wanted! However, after taking it home I have never got it to look the same again. I have realised that the shade was way too dark and it always looks slightly too cakey. I will be looking at other foundations when it runs out as J don't think I will be purchasing again but I would say it's an ok foundation just not worth the price tag.
