About Me

I am a 63 yr old retired hairdresser (30 yrs). I used to have peaches and cream flawless skin until I turned 50 and developed an underactive thyroid along with clinical depression and great stress. I believe all of that affected my hormones and my immune system and my face began to stay constantly broken out but no acne products or acids could be used or it would become inflamed. My skin is normal to dry and I do not have shine at end of day. I have a neutral light color and wear warm shades. This foundation shocked me because it indeed felt like I was applying a soothing and moisturizing serum. It stayed on, wore very well until long in the day and evening and nothing needed to be applied. It does what Jamie says and the light color for me was perfect but in summer, I'd go to Medium. I would say the applicator dispenses it by drops and just a couple are all you need, it's concentrated. So, if you need a moist, dewy foundation or at least one that feels that way, try this. I don't think you'll be disappointed. It is not perfumed but does have a smell but doesn't bother me because I know the ingredients are great. I've used many of her other products and never been disappointed. I just wish she'd make more warm peachy toned lip shades. She tends to make rosy pinks stating everyone can wear them. I can't unless they are warm toned pinks. Her pencils for eyes, brows and lips are great and truly, you just have to try it for yourself. I will say the shades do run warm and I know why she does this....she has rosacea and many women do have redness to cover but I do not. The color blends into my skin perfectly. It's the first foundation that I have used to the bottom in all my decades.

FAQ

I was a professional hairstylist and a certified color technician for Matrix Essentials. I owned my own salon for the last 12 of those years. I worked hair and fashion shows doing both hair and makeup and hair color.
When I was young, I never wore foundation and just used a coverup for a blemish and blush and eye makeup and lipstick. Since I turned 52, I developed hypothyroidism, clinical depression and my skin began to be in a stage of chronic breakouts but not the kind that can use typical acne products or acids. Those set it on fire. So my skin has become very sensitive and feels dry, though I suspect it is just dehydrated.
I have always been complimented on my 'peaches and cream' skin but now I don't want people looking too closely because I have to cover up blemishes. I hate to wear foundation because my skin is good and even with coloring but those pesty blemishes!.
