Beauty Product Reviews

Not as great as I was hoping for

In the past I'd purchase some eyeshadow palettes because everyone was raving about them and it would just turn out to be a huge disappointment. For this reason I just picked 4 single colors from the Natasha Denona. #755 Skin, #59M Moonstone, #87M Light Coral and #24V Aubergine. Let's start with the last one: #24V. It is matt and really sheer. I was expecting a little more depth to this shade. #755, sheen is nice but more reddish than I was hoping for. I tried to wear it a few different occasions and always felt like it was making me look tired. #59 is spot on a beautiful color, pops like crazy. Unfortunately I'm over 40 and even with my youthful looks this is way too much shimmer. I think this would look amazing on younger people around their 20's or younger. Same with #87, which is even more glittery. That said, I really admire Natasha's work. She is clearly talented and the makeup on her (young!) models look exquisite. The colors definitely fade during the day and crease, even with a primer. It is a bit overpriced, I don't think I'm getting the value with what I spent on 4 eyeshadows...specially that I looked worst wearing them. They look very nice as swatches on everyone's arms but at the end of the day you'd want to wear them on your eyes. This is just my personal experience. It might work better for other's.

good primer

This is my go to primer for most of the time. Eyeshadows sticks to it, stays on, doesn't crease and blends well. On older skin it tends too look too dry so I prefer using cream shadow as a base vs. TFSI

not a fan

I'm giving 3 stars because the packaging is pretty impressive and I think it smells very nice. I was really looking forward getting for this product, after all the hype and pre-purchasing it even before it hit the shelfs. At age 43, I don't normally breakout but every single time I used this moisturizer I got a huge cystic acne...and I tried a few different times when my skin looked pretty perfect. It gives a nice glow to the face but it's just so not worth the price if I break out every single time. After my reactions I'm actually afraid to use it on a client. Maybe it works for people with normal/dry skin.

best makeup remover

I have been using Bioderma Sensibio H2O for many years. By far my favorite makeup remover. I love to use many layers of mascara and at the end of the day I want something that feels gentle on my eyes and takes off the makeup quickly. I never had any issues with makeup not coming off. The 500ml also last for a long time.

Good investment

So far, #6 is the first brush I got from Wayne Goss. It is super soft, no fall out with eyeshadow, blends amazing. I'm very impressed. I'd definitely will buy more of his brushes.
