An Investment Beauty Splurge
The new(ish) Naked 2 palette was something I had to truly think on. I actually had to justify buying it. I didn't just hop into Sephora and grab it the first day it came out. I really had to force myself to wait, sit and think some more. Staring at other's swatches of the palletes shadows did and didn't help. Because in the end, I did buy the Naked 2 palette and it was for me a just(but expensive) purchase.
What mattered most was that all of the shades (except the matte black) were colors that truly flattered me. I do and don't like bold make up. Bold make up on others can look really amazing, but on me, I can only do small doses of it due to my glasses. :) Secondly, I wanted to buy a palette I truly would use. Not let it sit on my dresser collecting dust because I didn't want to mar its perfection. :P
My favorite shades are: Pistol, Verve, Snakebite and YDK.
I can't rightfully say that buying the Naked 2 Palette is something every girl should do, but if you are like me, still on the fence, there is no shame in still thinking it over, wondering if its right for you. It was a practical decision for me, but it was also an investment too. I'm happy I have it now and I enjoy using it.
A true Hidden Treasure!!
I'm not sure if some of you recall when Sally Hansen came out with that polish "Hidden Treasure." Well I never got my hands on it either but one day I stumbled upon this here beauty. It is truly an amazing nail polish because it can do so much to other nail colors. On dark, purples, navys, greens grays and blacks it looks like a oil spill shining in the sunlight in a walmart parking lot. The rainbow flecks literally look like a thousand jagged crystal skins. It looks ahhh---mazzzing.
Srsly. Ahhh--maazzzing.
I paid roughly 8 dollars for shipping and the bottle, I'm currently nearly empty and in the process of ordering a second.
Do not walk, run. Run to a computer, look up Nubar 2010 and order it. You will not be disappointing. :)
A real glossy opaque nude
I've had Creme Brulee for over a month now, I've used it while at work, going out with my family and going out at night. Its a creamy, opaque true nude. Its not concealer nude. Its not peach-nude or nude-pink...but a natural looking brown with a hint of pink nude. I'm fairly pale and this lip color suits my skin tone and natural lip color. (I have occasionally pigmented lips.) It applies smoothly and evenly (if you take regular care of your lips) and keeps my lips hydrated for some time. Due to its emollient nature, it will last about 3 hours, less if I'm eating. I don't love it for how long it lasts, I love it for its formulation. :) I highly recommend checking them out. When it doubt start with Peach Parfait!
