Beauty Product Reviews

Writing a new review

I am writing a 2nd review because I spoke too soon with the first, and I don't want people to feel like they are the only ones sending this back the way I had felt by reading all the reviews.

First let me just tell you that I am an eyeshadow addict. I smoke out my eyes every single day, and so when I had first saw how beautiful the Natasha palette had appeared, I did my research and decided to give it a try. When I first had reviewed this product, I had only tried it about three different times, and each time I felt a bit underwhelmed. I had remained very open minded, even though I didn't feel as excited with the finished product as I thought I would feel. I wanted to love this palette, and believe all the positive reviews so I experimented 3-4 times. I disappointingly still felt the same. This palette although extremely aesthetically pleasing at first glance gives no further color pay off than any of my other less expensive Urban Decay palettes. In fact, I had found that I actually prefer the UD Vice palettes as far as pigmentation, colors, and blendability . For the price, this palette lacks some staple colors such as black, a matte brown, and cream. I bought all those colors separately, and will be keeping the brown and black since they are both very nice, and I actually like them more than any that this palette included unfortunately. There were some colors that were nicely pigmented, and it is blendable overall. I am just not as impressed as I should be for a $239 dollar investment. At most, this palette should be $100, and even then I think I may still feel regretful. It got sent back.

Being an eye-shadow addict, I justified this purchase with my tax return. lol. That being said, this is the most expensive eye shadows I have ever purchased. I use shadow every single day within my makeup routine, and do not leave the house usually without a smokey eye. Lets first talk about the pros: The colors are beautiful and vibrant. There is no doubt that the packaging is sleek and upscale, and colors are aesthetically pleasing. The shadows do blend well together. They have not irritated my eye lids so I would say that they would work with most skin types. The cons: Black is sold separately. Black in my opinion is a staple, so its disappointing that its sold separately ( which on a side note I did purchase and its the best black I have ever used, and I currently like it more than any of the regular colors, it works great as a liner for the bottom lash line). Its also disappointing there isn't a cream matte color within this palette. Natasha offer's a cream in which I also purchased, but it is more of a shimmer. The price is the final con. I do not believe it should be over $200. The most I believe this palette is worth is $150. To be fair, I've used this palette three times, so it may be too early to fully judge everything. I still need to experiment with more colors. I do like the palette, and I am going to keep it. However, so far I am not seeing much of difference between my Urban Decay Vice 3, as far as pigmentation. At the same time, I am curious about the Green Brown Palette that I didn't buy, and if it was more cost friendly, I'd probably try that as well to gain even more versatility. Again, I do not think three times gives a clear verdict on its overall use. I am giving this palette a 4 because of its lack of staple colors, and price point.

This is high quality!

I really like this product. I airbrush usually everyday with my Temptu, but I found that this RCMA palette ( along with the beauty blender ) can also create the same flawless appearance. These palettes are great for contouring. They blend beautifully. I do find that airbrushing does conceal a blemish more effectively with less makeup, however with a little more makeup you can achieve the same look. Definitely buy some HD colorless powder to finish with, or your your makeup won't last. Overall this product is a win. I've been having fun experimenting and rotating one day with this, and then another with my airbrush. I've decided that I am going to continue to airbrush everyday, and keep this for a backup. You never know when your system could break down, and its great to have a 2nd option! This also has a variety of colors you could blend/experiment with to do makeup on others.
