Awesome for Oily Skin

Okay, so in one of my reviews I said "once you go MAC you never go back," but I had to because there are not MAC stores where I go to college. I was struggling with some break out issues and bought Halo because of something I read in Allure for its use on oily skin. My highlights are: 1) it matches my pale, olive skin just as good if not better than my previous foundation. 2) It is oil free and did not irritate my skin or make me break out like a lot of other foundations, my acne has gotten better since I've used it. 3) It is hydrating, which is a plus because sometimes I forget to put on moisturizer and my proactive dries out my skin. 4) When used with moisturizer it looks very, very natural, even when I put powder on top of it. I never have a cake face issue, or visible makeup lines like I sometimes did with my MAC foundation. 5) I look Beyonce' flawless in all the pictures I've taken since I bought it. It really does add a glow to your complexion. I gave a sample of it to my room mate and she too fell in love, despite her aversion to expensive makeup. She already has great skin but she looked more youthful and natural when she started wearing it. I only wish it was a bit less expensive and that it went on just a weeee bit more opaque, but other than that, it's my new fave foundation in my aesthetic arsenal.

Perfect Potion

I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH FOR THIS PRODUCT. Before UD Primer Potion, I felt like I tried everything to keep my eyeshadow on. In high school, I had to touch up my eyeshadow every time I powdered my face because it always caked, smeared and creased after three or four hours of wear. I was so upset because I would spend time blending and trying different eyeliners so that they wouldn't smudge, but it never worked. Then, I found Primer Potion and I've never gone back. There is no point in putting on eye makeup without it, and I never want to see what would happen if I did. I have oily skin, but you would never know because my eyeshadow is locked in place all day and through the night. It is not greasy and it soaks in easily when I apply it with my finger to my lids. It doesn't matter how many layers I add to my eyeshadow look, they all stay in place. I've never had a complaint, however my mother noticed that it emphasized the fine lines on her lids when she used it, so I recommend moisturizing (like you're supposed to) before use. I typically use original, but I also have Sin, which is nice if you want an all over peachy shimmer before applying other shadows or if you just want to wear it alone. I've even used it as a highlighter. I just bought the anti-aging version of this and it works just as well, though I haven't noticed my eyes looking any younger... but I'm only in my 20s.

I didn't notice anything special about this mascara, maybe it's because I expected major volume. Either way, it just did not deliver the lush lashes I anticipated. I like Colossal Lash much better.

Awesome

I switched over to Smashbox concealer to cover the blemishes my Halo foundation didn't vanquish. It really does the trick and I don't find it too liquified or cakey when dabbed on with my ring finger. It also does not make my oily skin or minor break outs worse. A little goes long way, however, for the price I think the tube should be twice the size.

Oh yeah,

Today I used it to darken my brows a bit without filling them in and it worked like a dream and looked just as natural as my lashes do.

Really, no bull, no clumps

I bought this to supplement along with my more expensive mascara and liked it more. I use the black brown color for a natural look that actually looks natural because it does not clump, even after multiple coats. The only thing I didn't like is that the brush feels a bit rough at the base of my lashes compared to other brushes but, nothing to cry about.

Not mine... Yet

I left my Smashbox primer at school when I went home for break and my friend offered to let me use her Urban Decay All Nighter spray. I was skeptical because it's a spray and I have oily skin, but I used it anyway because I had a long night of bars waiting for me. I came home 6 hours later and my makeup still looked flawless... As did my friends, even after she woke up hung over the next morning. I want some of my own, bad.

New Fave

I bought this two days ago and absolutely love it. I was using Vaseline, regular Chapstick and Nivea lip before and they didn't do miracles like my EOS does. My lips were so cracked and dry until I got this and now they are smooth/ hydrated after two days use. EOS is supposedly all natural and I'm a sucker for mint lip products anyway so I was glad my Walmart carried that variety.

Once you go MAC you never go Back

I used to be tinted pink/orange. It was horrible. I went most of my teenage years without wearing the correct shade of foundation until I got matched at the MAC counter. I started with drugstore makeup, probably every brand. I have cool-toned skin and despite all the "perfect match" BS out there MAC is the only brand that got it right. I strayed to Tarte and Revlon and had a stint with Covergirl, but I missed my MAC. I have oily, sensitive skin and Pro Longwear stays on the longest and gives me the most build-able coverage. Its not too watery but not too thick. Just don't overdo it. The only reason I didn't give it a perfect rating is because I've seen some caked MAC faces... but I'll just blame it on the applier.

Duh

One of my favorite associates for MAC sold me this when I went to blow some christmas cash last year. When used in a circular/buffing motion it smoothes out my MAC foundation so that it goes on smooth and natural-looking.
