Beauty Product Reviews
This was probably the most disappointing palette I've used in the last seven years. I usually don't bother reviewing products I don't like because I know everyone has different tastes, but this was so bad I had to let people know. First off, I liked the packaging! but I got a drop of water on it and it started to crumble like cheap cardboard. Then I tried the palette, and the pigmentation was almost nonexistent. Some of the shades were so difficult to work with that I had to scrape the top off before I could even work with them. I could see buying this as a "my first makeup palette" because the lack of pigment might make it easier to work with for beginners, but the ridiculous price point negates that. Plus, the color story makes no sense. Honestly this was so bad it put me off buying Beautylish Lucky Bags again.
Arrived Broken
I don't really know how to review this, because three of the five shadows were loose in the pans when I received it. All three ended up falling out. The colors themselves are REALLY gorgeous & I wanted to love it! All are very high quality, with the exception of Red Bronze - it was difficult to pick up a lot of pigment on a brush. Also, the packaging is fantastic. If I knew that I just had a fluke palette, I'd highly recommend it, but I've seen reviews of other people having this issue. I'm not sure if it's an issue with the new formula or not, but it's pretty disappointing.
Perfect Cat Eyes
This brush is a makeup artist must have! If you're like me, the hardest part of doing a makeup application is creating a really precise eyeliner, and this brush is PERFECT for that. The flat shape eliminates shaky hand problems you might experience with a pointed brush, and the tiny size makes it easy to apply exactly the right amount of product without accidentally smudging on the dreaded panda eye.
Like other reviewers have pointed out, it works really well with the Inglot gel liners. You will have to wash it a lot if you use a gel liner, but Parian Spirit makes a brush cleaner that makes washing the brush fast and easy. Or you could buy four like I did!
Gorgeous, versatile coverage
This is one of the very few products I'll use until I finish the very last speck is gone! It's a finely milled, med to full coverage powder and it's beautiful on the skin. I find the wear to be decent, but if you're oily you might need to blot or touch up throughout the day.
I love how the coverage is customizable - for mornings when I'm in a rush, I'll use my fingers to apply a little Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics concealer and brush this powder over my whole face. It's perfect for looking put-together in 2 minutes. For "going out" nights, you can use this over your liquid foundation for even more coverage and a flawless finish.
I'd skip the included sponge (keep it for touch-ups) and go with a large powder brush for lighter coverage or a shorter bristled synthetic powder brush for maximum coverage.
