Beauty Product Reviews

Hate it.

Okay so, I bought this along with a few other Almay products (mainly because it said hypoallergenic, and I have sensitive skin) and I just....hate this. The "navy blue" color once applied to the skin is just an absolutely dreadful dirty grey color with like this "puke" gold. That's the best way to describe it. Not only is the color really ugly it applies in a blotchy way. The gold above it has like, no pigment and just...sucks. And the pale blue above that is like, non-existent in color. Bleh. This is just...a really bad product in my eyes. The only good thing about this product is that the packaging is kind of neat. But that's it.

Absolutely FABULOUS

Okay, so I saw these pencils at CVS and Ulta and I sort of wavered. It wasn't exactly a cheap product for me (I don't have a lot of money for makeup, so I'm really picky!) And the size of the pencil confused me a bit. However, I finally broke down and bought one after hearing that people used it as a base on their eyes for their eye shadow. And OH. MY. GOSH. I am in LOVE with this pencil! When using it as a base for your eyes a little goes a long way and when you put eye shadows on top of it, just....WOW. It really makes eye shadow colors POP and keeps them on a bit better. It's difficult to try and use as an eye liner by itself, and I would recommend using a liner brush of some sort to apply it instead of going to town with the pencil on your water line/lash line. However, you can use it straight on your eye lid and just use your finger to blend it out. These pencils come in just, an amazing amount of colors and they're all gorgeous! If you ever have trouble finding a color, chances are you'll find that color in these pencils!

Pros: High pigment, easy to apply to the lid, makes eye shadows pop, lasts a long while, wide variety of colors, awesome creamy texture without creasing, very cute design Cons: Too big to apply to water line/lash line without a liner brush

Overall excellent product!

Awesome product!

This was my very first "expensive" makeup product, and I was REALLY hesitant to buy it. However, I was very happy that I did! These colors are very high pigment (especially for someone like me who had only used cheap drug store products before) and when applied on top of primer it REALLY sticks! I've never had this product crease, and it's really nice on my skin tone. This is a really good neutral pallet that's suitable for every day use. It's super easy to apply, and as a really nice silky texture for a powder. It's excellent for people who are starting out and aren't sure what kind of makeup they want.

Simply AWFUL

Alright, so I'm very pale and I thought something like this would be awesome for me. I have such a hard time trying to find something in my color. This just...is a hot mess. It really is. It's really thick and heavy and gross. But I thought the color was fine. UNTIL TWO HOURS INTO MY DAY. It turned an absolutely horrible fake tan orange color, and took on the texture of halloween greasepaint mixed with chalk. And to top it all off, it's incredibly hard to get off of your face once you have it on. I swear. I just....I really hate this product. It is hands down THE WORST product I have ever used. If I could give it less than one star I would.
