Beauty Product Reviews

My favorite buffer of all times!!

The short handle of this brush is perfect for people who need glasses - it allows you to get close to the mirror without the handle crashing into it. So I really like this series for daily use, not just traveling. This is my new favorite brush for setting powder! The big surface picks up a lot of powder, and the bristles are super soft, almost caressing to the skin, and it doesn't disturb the makeup underneath. The Mini Keyaki Niji is also great for setting powder, but personally, I find that the shape of this one is even better for really buffing in that powder for that blurred effect <3

Huge "little" brush!

The handle may be short, but otherwise there is nothing little over this brush! I use it for setting powder, and it's perfect for that! The huge surface picks up a lot of powder, but the shape makes it easy to control where to place the it. The bristles are super soft, almost caressing the skin, and it doesn't disturb the makeup underneath, but very gently just buffs in the powder and gives the skin a sort of blurred effect. I love it!

Pretty and practical!

Sonia's little towels are super practical, and I always keep one at my vanity. Folded with the motif side out, they look quite decorative. After each use I wipe my brushes with the microfiber side, which allows me to quickly switch between different shadows with the same brush, as well as drying brushes used with liquid makeup for keeping them more hygienic. I machine wash the towels on a gentle cycle, and then carefully stretch them back into shape before air drying them.

Super versatile brush set!

I discovered the world of Japanese fude in the beginning of the pandemic, when I replaced my old, worn out brushes with Sonia G.'s first Keyaki set. Until then, I had no idea how wonderful proper, good quality brushes are! The wooden handles are handmade, beautiful, and so nice to hold! The brushes not only feels super soft against the skin, but actually helps blending the makeup better! This is a travel set, but I quite like the short handles for every day use, as it lets me get a bit closer to the mirror without the handle crashing into it. This little set can do a full face, even though I use the two Keyaki sets together. Three of the brushes can be used with liquid foundation/lipstick/cream shadows/cream blush... which I'm really pleased with, as I use a lot of liquid makeup, and good quality brushes for liquids can be hard to find :)

Beautiful!

The Lotus Set is so beautiful, and the craftsmanship is incredible. These brushes are soft, comfortable against the skin and with nicely balanced handles. This set can make a full face, including liquid foundation and cream blush, and it does it's job really well. My favourite is the Lotus Detail, which is the best powder brush ever! Also, it's such a joy to start my day with something so pretty!

These brushes are perfect for powder eyeshadow. They easily pick up the shadows, even glittery ones. And they are unbelievably soft!! Almost cloud-like. I like S1 for lighting up the inner corners, S2 for a base colour all over the lid, making the outer V and along the lower lash line , S3 for blending. But they are very versatile, and you could use them in a lot of ways. I already have the short handled Keyaki sets, in which most of the brushes can be used with liquids. I reserve these for powder products, as they are made of squirrel hair.
