OBSESSED.
I love this more than words can describe. I was definitely wary of an orange blush, but it looks AMAZING on my skin, especially during the summer when I'm a little more tan. The gold is sparse enough that you don't necessary have to use it, but there's plenty if you do want it. It isn't just an overspray which I was very excited about. The gold and the orange blend very well together, it doesn't look like you just brushed gold glitter over orange blush. This is my favorite summer blush of all time, and I will be using it every summer until I run out (and cry). In the photo there's just the blush, just the gold, and the two colors mixed together (from left to right).
Cheap, but not too bad.
I bought one of these at a random beauty supply store because the color looked very similar to the NARS Orgasm blush which I was running out of. The packaging is very cheap, thin plastic and actually cracked while I was traveling home from school. The blush itself isn't too bad. It isn't comparable to NARS whatsoever, but the pigmentation is better than a lot of drugstore blushes I've seen. I paid $2.99 for it, so the price is pretty great considering it is better than some Maybelline and CoverGirl blushes I've tried.
Good pigmentation, lots of product!
I bought this in Montecito a very, very long time ago and I still have plenty left. It's a light plumy pink color with a golden shimmer. I don't use this color often because I feel it's a little dark for my skin, but it does look nice with the right eyeshadow and lip color. These come with a huge amount of product, so that's a bonus. I doubt I'd ever run out of this color, or any other Cargo blushes I purchase in the future! I also like the packaging they come in, it's both cute and sturdy.
Pretty pinky coral.
I'm a big fan of blushes in this color range (pinky/peachy/coraly), so I don't know why it took me so long to get this! I actually don't even have the full size, I got a deluxe sample for 100 points at Sephora. I'm in love! I like that it's shimmery (almost frosty, really) because it gives my cheeks a gorgeous glow. The color isn't too over the top, so I don't feel like I'm wearing too much blush. It's a perfect color to throw on to just bring some light to your face.
In the picture there's a heavy swatch on the left with a lighter/blended out swatch on the right.
One of the best.
This is definitely one of the best setting powders I have ever tried. I got this in the Laura Mercier Undercover Pot, and liked it to much I decided to buy a full-size version. This is extremely fine, almost fluffy, and glides onto the face effortlessly. It isn't mattifying, and does leave a... I don't want to call it a "glow" because it isn't really that... it just has a soft focus effect that looks great. It isn't as long lasting as I would want it to be, but I attribute that to my oily skin, and combat it with Urban Decay's De-Slick spray. I really like this powder, and since a little goes a long way, I'll be using this for a long time!
Great deal!
This is a great way to test out a lot of Laura Mercier products at once. The undercover pot and the brushes are full-sized products, and the primer and tinted moisturizer are both 1 oz, which is standard for foundations (but slightly smaller than their full-sized counterparts). I just got back from Cancun, so my skin is medium with olive/yellow undertones. Sand looks orange when it comes out, but blends into my skin so perfectly it looks like I have nothing on. The primer is nice too, it isn't a silicone formula like Smashbox's primer (which I love), so it doesn't leave your skin feeling too heavy. My one "thing" about the set is the concealer on the left side of the pot is very, very thick. It is difficult to pick up with a brush, and using your finger does not help the product glide on very well. It also seems a smidge light for my skin. The secret camouflage (the right side of the pot) is fantastic though! It is super creamy and glides on underneath my eyes like a dream. The setting powder and the brush that comes with it is also great for applying just the right amount under the eyes to set. Once everything is applied, my skin feels and looks smooth and flawless. I'm so glad I got this because it's only $65 and certainly worth much more!
Beautiful!
I bought Laguna recently, and it is absolutely gorgeous. I've heard a lot of people complain that this (and the rest of the illuminators) are very sheer and look like nothing on the skin. The way to fix that is to let it sit a bit before you start blending it. It will dry a bit and become tacky, and once spread out it will have a bit more pigmentation. So far, I've mixed it in with my body lotion for a really pretty bronze glow, mixed it with my foundation, and highlighted my cheek bones with it. I LOVE this color. Not orange at all, and just the right amount of sparkle. You don't look like a disco ball even after a few hours of wear.
Trophy Wife is my all-time favorite color now!
I just bought Essie's Trophy Wife nail polish, and I AM IN LOVE. This is the most perfect, gorgeous teal/blue color ever. It has just the right bit of shimmer and is opaque with just two coats. I love that I can do 3+ coats of this and it does not bubble on me!
What can't this do?
I use this every night as a moisturizer, on scars to help fade them, in my hair to tame frizziness, as a makeup remover, and for a ton of other things I can't think of now. This product is AMAZING. When I put it on at night, I wake up with clear, glowy skin. It somehow does not look oily at all. This has actually helped calm down some mild acne no my face too! It also fades scars I have from mosquito bites. I LOVE what this does to my hair, just a little bit tames frizz and makes my hair look and feel super shiny and healthy. Oh I don't know what I would do without this now!
Meh.
I have this in medium and the cream blush is decent, but fairly dry and easy to overdo. It's also an odd color for someone with medium skin. It's a bit too cool-toned to really work for me. The powder blush looks gorgeous. In the pan, it's quite similar to NARS Orgasm blush, but it majorly lacks in color payoff. In order to get a decent swatch, you have to rub the blush as hard as you can and even then not much product shows up. Trying to get this to show up on your cheeks is a whole other story. Ugh. The colors look pretty, but this just lacks the quality to back up the prettiness!
