Cute, but not so functional.
These come in cute little packages and smell great, but the moisturizing factor is minimal. I have the honeydew one and I love how it smells, but I constantly have to reapply it to keep my lips from being chapped. If these were just a tad more moisturizing, I'd be obsessed!
great polish, great range of colors
I love these nail polishes! The formula is fantastic and the range of colors is great. They really have a color for everyone. I have quite a few of these and the wear on them is great. They last about 5 days on me, which is a lot considering how hard I am on my nails. My favorite color in this collection is Teal We Meet Again, which is a dark green teal color. It's absolutely gorgeous and perfect for summer!
the only mascara I will ever use
This is the perfect mascara for me! The brush is ginormous, but does a great job separating my lashes while adding a lot of volume and length. My eyelashes are naturally curled, so I don't know how great of a curling mascara this is, but it's perfect for length and volume. I've been asked if I'm wearing false lashes while wearing this! It lasts all day on me without flaking off or smudging below my eyes like so many other mascaras have done on me. I will be repurchasing this forever! Nothing has worked this well for me.
great primer!
I love this primer! It instantly smoothes out my skin and creates the perfect canvas for adding foundation. It also keeps my foundation in place a lot longer than without a primer at all. I love that it somehow magically minimizes my pores and smoothes out the tiny wrinkles near my eyes. The worst part about this is that it's almost always sold out on Sephora's website and at the store near my house. I always have a hard time repurchasing it!
good if you don't own a lot of makeup
I'm really not that big of a fan of these palettes. I know they're very inexpensive and therefore I can't expect a whole lot out of them, but still I think the price was a bit high for what I got. The shadows are very small (about the size of a dime), but very bright. The color pay off is pretty good on most of them, but terrible on some. I've found that they don't last very long and it's important to wear a primer underneath otherwise they just fade away. The worst part about this palette is the smell. I had to stop using it because every time I open it, the smell makes me feel sick. To me, it smells like old, cheap makeup. It's hard to describe, but it really is not nice.
gorgeous!
I have a few of these, but I got Ophelia most recently in the NARS favorites kit from Sephora. They suggest that you put this on over the Multiple stick in Orgasm, and that is by far my favorite combination for this gloss. It's a smooth, moisturizing, sheer strawberry color. It has no smell or taste to me. This gloss adds a lot of shine to plain lips, but I prefer using it over a lipstick.
easy highlighter!
This is one of the first makeup products I purchased, and I love it. It's a pretty, light pink shade that blends out nicely above the brow bone and on cheeks. It's super easy to use, and really adds a nice dewy look to skin. I love mixing this in with my liquid foundation for an all over glowy look.
perfect everyday color
The last time I visited a MAC store one of the sales associates recommended this color as an everyday lipstick for me. I love it! I took a look at all the Viva Glams and found that they all are great neutral colors and would flatter a wide range of skin tones and colors. Viva Glam V is almost exactly the same color as my lips naturally but with a little shimmer. It looks pretty with any kind of look any time of the day. It's a Lustre finish, so it isn't drying at all, but adds a nice shine to the lips.
One of the great things about these lipsticks is that MAC donates all of the cost of the lipstick to their Viva Glam foundation, which supports AIDS research and support.
one of my favorite foundations
First off, I just want to say that finding a good color match can be daunting with this foundation. It comes in A LOT of colors, so I would definitely recommend you go to Sephora to try this on before buying it.
Anyway, this is a pretty great foundation, and I do really like it. During the winter, my skin can get pretty dry, though, and this really accentuates that so a good moisturizer is needed if you have a bit of dryness. This blends easily and looks flawless when I use my Sigma duo-fiber brush. The coverage is definitely not full, which surprised me because it's supposed to be for HD cameras, but when photographed my skin looks flawless when I have this on, so it does it's job. $40 is a little pricey for foundation, but I think it's worth it. It isn't the greatest foundation I've ever put on my face, but I use this one regularly because it does it's job well.
my everyday paleete
When I finally got to order this, I didn't think I'd use it a whole lot. I had a pretty simple everyday set of eyeshadows, so I didn't think this would add much to my collection. I was completely wrong! I have used this nearly everyday since I got it, and I'm not even a big neutral fan. The colors are perfectly coordinated and you can do a quick one-color-all-over look or a gorgeous smokey eye with this. I bought this early enough that it came with the double eyeliner instead of the brush, and since I don't own a lot of Urban Decay products it was fine that it came with Zero. My one issue is that the brown side of the eyeliner (I forget the name of the color now...) is a bit too red and makes my eyes look tired and ragged. Other than that this palette is incredible and an awesome deal!
