Dedicated cleaning jar
Put a little bit of Parian Spirit in the jar and rub your brush hairs into the little plastic grid. Besides getting the essence of orange in the air, you:
1) reduce the potential mess from liquid cleansers, and 2) have the individual brush hairs open up to get the hard to reach spots cleaned.
Minus 1/2 a star for not fitting my bigger powder/foundation brushes in jar. I did use the lid as recommended in the product description. It just seemed funny to me my big brushes can't join in the cleaning fun.
I set this jar close to my brushes on my vanity. Now I'm reminded to clean my brushes every time I see it.
So clean!
I experimented with this cleaner last night on my favorite eyeshadow brush. The brush is in heavy rotation, with regular spot cleans and deep shampoo cleansing at least once a week. Imagine my surprise when Parian cleaner got out even more makeup gunk from my 'clean' brush! That faint orange smell is intoxicating and will easily give your room a citrus scent as it dries. Looks like I need to stock up on this cleanser. I want all of my brushes to be clean and smell fabulous.
Packs a punch
They are iridescent. Not duochrome per se. More like having a wash of color unexpectedly flash when you thought it's just a white eyeshadow. You'll see different shades flash depending on the lighting. Generally I see white, purple, or gold depending on which shade I use. The color has staying power, even more so with a good eyeshadow primer. I'm only sad the quantity sold is so small
Girly Princess Pink
Wow I did these on my hands and I am impressed. Anna Sui made a very girly, very princess pink that doesn't look awful on grown-up hands. The shimmer doesn't show very much. The formula is a wee bit thin but builds up nicely as a two coat polish. The rose smell is amazing after your hands are treated to dish washing soap all of the time. You feel like you're putting flowers on your fingernails. The smell does go away.
The Definition of Red
I made a little heart with the Lit adhesive and a touch of the shade Fire Cracker. The glitter managed to stay on all day. The only battle damage was when my fingers accidentally grazed the heart after a sneeze. It still looks great, though! Very pigmented and flashy without looking cheap.

Quick cleanup
You rotate the bottom of the pen and hear a clicking sound. From the top you will see tiny bits of formula come out. The formula looks like petroleum jelly. My mistakes were removed with a bit of help from a Q-tip after the initial swipe. Unlike removing mistakes with petroleum jelly, oil, or regular makeup remover I didn't get that weird oily sheen on the cleaned up area. from the removed spot. It was a satin finish.
The Anna Sui rose scent isn't very strong and didn't irritate my eye area. Usually I'm sensitive to fragrances.
Minus one star only because the formula is a little difficult to get out of the tube. Turn the pen slowly or too much product will spill on your counter! Other than that it's a nifty pen to keep nearby when you're doing precision makeup work.
Something Completely Different
The media bombards you with so much pink/coral blush that purple looks really out of place. On top of that my cheeks naturally turn pink. I was stunned that my Asian skin (MAC NC25) took the purple blush so well.
The blue and purple tints are sheer on my skin. You barely notice they are cool colors. It is a welcome change for my day look. The colors are perfect for when I want my other features to pop. When you swirl the colors all together you get a cool-toned pale lilac that turns a light lavender in the shade. Your highlights (the apples of your cheeks) have a cool white glow.
Yes, the Anna Sui Rose scent is there! Don't worry it doesn't fight your perfume. You can smell it when you apply it and it goes away once you have set your makeup.
This blush would be perfect for spring. It's a tad too dainty for the intense looks for winter.
Multitasker
I end up using this stick of glowing goodness to highlight my brows, my inner eye corners, sometimes my cheeks and even my nose. The highlight is bright and stays put. Usually I do quick lines on the outer edges of my eyelids (under my eyebrows), and two little dots on my inner eye corners. My eyeshadow highlighting is done!
The color is a touch pink. The champagne pink description is apt. The normal High Brow comes off as too yellow on my skin and looks unnatural.
The problem? The line takes a while to buff out with a brush or your fingers. But if you don't use a lot then you won't spend all that time buffing. Remember, it's a brow highlighter first. That doesn't mean it isn't flexible.
Best Drugstore Eyeshadow
Want a drugstore eyeshadow that would make your department store eyeshadow want to run away from your makeup bag? L'Oreal Infallible eyeshadow is the brand. The formula is that magic area between cream and powder, making precision color application easy. It's very soft on the brush and can be very easy to over apply. A little goes a long way, and L'Oreal packed a lot of shadow in the container, making the $10 price tag worth the money.
I usually apply my eyeshadow dry with no primer/foundation for it to stick to. I got a beautiful 8 hour wear, only at the end of the night (hour 14ish) did I notice some creasing. I had to really look up close (the mirror about 3 inches from my face) to find them.
My favorite color from the permanent collection is Bronzed Taupe. It's one of those colors you can use any day of the week for any occasion. That little hit of sparkle comes out at night. If you see limited edition colors in your local drugstore, grab the ones you want ASAP! Blinged and Brilliant, from the current holiday collection, is a peachy eyeshadow with a LOT of shimmer. It's like copper on your eyelids. Imperial Gold, also from the current holiday collection, is bright sparkling gold. Perfect to highlight your tear duct or your brows.
