Beauty Product Reviews
I bought this lipbalm around four years ago abroad in Florida, on a whim. I had not ever seen the brand back home, and wanted a cooling lipbalm as my lips had been sun burned. This appealed to me, as it appeared to be mostly natural product. This was to be the start of a never ending love affair with burts bees. I ALWAYS use it. I have about six tubes of this around my house so I can't ever be without one tube of this in my handbag. It's the BEST lipbalm i've ever used. Seriously, i used to be a bit of a lip balm-freak. I've also used the Mango butter one, pomegranate, and honey flavoured ones from Burts bees, but the cooling one is my all-time-fave. Nothing keeps my lips smooth and chap free like this.
It's alright, but The Body Shop's Seaweed daycream is better!
This is a nice gel moisturizer, but it didn't do much for me. I have dry skin in the winter, and normal-combo skin in the humid summer heat, so I like light moisture to give my skin a little boost without leaving me looking like an oil slick. This would be almost perfect if it a) didnt leave me with dry skin around my cheeks and B) wasnt so darn expensive for such a small tube. I used to have Cliniques four step routine and used to use this as well as the rest of the line. Switched from this to The Body shop's seaweed line as it's half the price, and preforms the same if not better than this.
I do like this day cream, I use it in the summer when I prefer something light, or when I have break outs and can't use a heavy moisturizer. I share it with my boyfriend sometimes (he has really oily skin and open pores) and he really likes it and said it helped his t-zone not look like an oil slick. I have the whole of the seaweed line and i've totally switched to this instead of clinique. I really love it! i also reccomend the toner, cleanser and the night treatment gel!
I used to pay out for Clinique's Clarifying toner (It's purple) but switched to this when somebody told me it was very similar, but much cheaper. I has the same cooling effect that clinique has, and even smells similar. I noticed a difference in the size of my pores, and it helps clear up any break outs i suffer with from time to time. Overall, I really enjoyed using this toner so I purchased the whole of the seaweed line, and have dumped my expensive clinique for this as i find that it preforms exactly the same, if not better than the four step regime i bought (cleanse, toner, exfoliate and moisturiser) and much cheaper too! Love it.
