Beauty Product Reviews
I use this as an overnight spot treatment more often than I do as a full face mask, and I LOVE it! It really dries up those big, painful zits overnight! Best spot treatment I've ever used. The mall near my home has, believe it or not, a Proactiv vending machine- and you can buy the steps individually, so that's where I pick this up without having to buy the entire kit.
This was the first moisturizer that my mother ever gave me when I started to think about skin care (age 12 or so) and I LOVED it. I used it for years and years. It's like, doesn't reek of sunscreen, and doesn't clog the pores. The only reason I switched (and don't give it 5 stars) is because I wish it had a higher SPF!
Okay, but better scrubs out there
I've used this scrub for about three years. I always thought it was okay. I liked that it was natural (sort of), I liked the scent, and I liked that it made my skin smooth for a few days, but I always hated that it seemed to create redness even when I hardly scrubbed at all! But I kept using this scrub because of it's reputation as one of the best. I can't even count how many bottles of this I've purchased.
BUT I just recently tried another "natural" scrub (Yes To Tomatoes) and I leaped to make the switch. So much better, has a lighter scent, still has salicylic acid, and ROUND exfoliating beads, which lessen redness and don't cause microtears in the skin.
Effective makeup remover, but greasy residue
I think I prefer the Simple Exfoliating Face Wipes to these ones. I'm on my second pack of these, and I usually use them as a makeup remover before I cleanse. I have fairly reactive skin and I love that these don't really irritate me at all, but I don't think they make my skin feel clean; I feel like a residue gets left on my skin that makes me *have* to cleanse again, something almost slimy. I didn't feel this at all with the exfoliating wipes that Simple makes.
