Beauty Product Reviews
Perfect foundation for me!
I got this foundation a little while ago and I have to say, I absolutely love it. I'll try to cover everything important about it so you guys can choose whether to try it or not. :) I'll start with where to get it and how much. You can get this from a local drugstore. I got it from Walmart for $7.00, which is a fantastic price if you ask me, considering lots of drugstore foundations average at around $12 ish. The packaging is super cute and pretty high quality. It has these pretty vines on it that initially attracted my attention. It's made out of thick plastic and it holds 1.19 fl ounces, which is the average amount for a foundation. It has a pump that squirts out a little bit at a time, which I love because it makes it kind of hard to get too much of the product. The color range is pretty nice in my opinion. They don't have much for dark skin, but they have plenty for fair skin. I consider myself to be pretty pale and I usually get the lightest to second lightest in foundation shades, but in this one I'm the third lightest which surprised me because most brands don't have much for super fair skin. The formula is quite nice and a bit thicker than I expected. It doesn't run all over the place and make a mess. I used a round top Sonia Kashuk buffing brush and it blended really nicely into my skin and it had a nice matte finish once it set. I didn't use a primer because I was quite intrigued by how it said "One step foundation is your primer, concealer, foundation, and powder." I have what I like to call bipolar skin, but other people call it combination skin. Most days my skin is oily in all places except for around my nose, but with this foundation the oily places weren't shiny and the dry places weren't patchy. I really liked the finish of it. It's easy to apply, it has light to medium coverage and it's quite buildable, which I like. It's really natural looking and you could still see my little freckles through the foundation. However, it did cover the redness and imperfections of the skin and balanced out the discoloration I had in some areas. I'm really impressed with this foundation and I highly recommend it to anyone who likes inexpensive, drugstore aka easy to just run out and get on a trip to the store, high quality, cruelty free products.
Great foundation, looks like I'm not wearing anything!
I use this foundation with Benefit POREfessional primer, and Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder. It works wonders with beautiful coverage, and it looks like my own skin. I will say, though...I have combination/normal skin, and sometimes this makes little dryish patches around my nose. Not sure how it would work on dry skin.
10/10, 100/100, A+!
At first I got this in a sample/travel size at Sephora, I wasn't really expecting anything special because I have small pores in the first place, but this stuff is great! Not only did it make my pores DISAPPEAR, but it made my face makeup glide on sooo smooth! Everything about it is absolutely perfect. I went out and bought this at the first sight of my travel size running out. It'd be pretty great if it was a tad more affordable, but definitely worth the price in my opinion... I'll repurchase as soon as I think I'm running out again. (:
Pretty great mascara!
Okay, so I usually apply heaps of mascara to get my desired lashes... unless I use this or the Rocket volume (but that's a different review). This mascara curls, lengthens, and volumizes your lashes, just like a mascara is supposed to! At first it may be a bit too wet, but just let it dry out a teeny bit (maybe leave it open for a couple hours, if not a little more). It can also clump at times, but just wipe the extra mascara off the wand, including the ball/tip, and it should be fine. Definitely recommend this mascara. (:
