I never used to wear foundation, but like others, I found that if I did feel like putting some on, this was natural and light-feeling enough not to make me feel like a cakeface. I don't find it to "provide moisture," but it does seem to absorb the oil on my nose, almost to the point of it feeling a tiny bit tight and dry. Also, I went to the Clinique counter and had the woman pick my shade, but like Yavannah, found that it was not quite light enough for me. All in all, this is a really nice and natural foundation if you can find the right shade.
Almost perfect
In general, I love this. It was thick and creamy when I bought it, and in 2 years, it's only gotten a little bit stickier. Also, I've had it for 2 years, so $10 was a great investment! The finish is satiny and smooth and yes, can be smoky. BUT. I've noticed that if I put on primer, then nude shadow, then this, and walk out the door on a humid day, it will be in my creases within 3 or 4 hours. I have oily eyelids, but they're not THAT oily. But again, for $10...a great investment.
Gorgeous, but better for summer
I LOVE this lipstick. It was one of the first I ever bought and it is still the one that I wear the most. I hate glossy or sticky-feeling lips, but this is so light that you'd forget about it if you weren't getting compliments left and right. The color is so rich and pigmented, and stays on really well unless you're eating a burger or something. The only problem I have with this is that if you have chapped or flaky lips in the winter, you absolutely cannot put this on. It will highlight every crack and make you look like the crypt keeper. Otherwise, perfect!
Dramatically sticky
I got a free sample of this with something, and I've tried it a few times. My skin is VERY low maintenance: until about a year ago, I literally washed my face once a week, and never broke out. So most moisturizers will work pretty well for me, but this one was exceptionally bad. After using it, my dry areas felt a little tacky, and the rest of my face felt gummy, like it was covered in a light resin. Even if it did great things for me, I'd never wear it, because it feels gross.
Cakey makeup in an awful package
You have to twist for about 2 minutes before you get a HUGE blob of product. Then you try to blend some of that with your finger, but it's sticky and does not blend. In about 15 minutes, it settles into every crease under your eyes and cakes up. The breaking point was when my boyfriend asked me why my undereye area looked "sad" and crinkled and asked if I had tried putting lotion on it. This stays in my purse for absolute emergencies, and that's it.
My old blushes just sit in the back of my closet now, as I pull this one out every day. I dab two fingers in and blend it across my cheeks for the perfect rosy glow. I am very fair with freckles, and if you like your freckles, this blush is amazing. It makes them pop somehow, in a very sweet way, and you look so fresh and natural. At the end of the day, it's still all there. It also looks lovely on lips, although it doesn't last there. I will say that if you purchase online, you MUST look at reviewers' swatches, because the colors are way off on here and on Ulta. But once you find the right shade for you, you will not regret it.
Bright and beautiful
It was probably very silly of me to buy this in St Germain instead of a classic red, because I would love to wear it ALL of the time. Still, this is a very pretty color if applied with a light hand. The formula is gorgeous, very creamy and light on the lips with great pigmentation. I have never experienced it drying out, and the color lasts well. The shade would look amazing on darker skintones; it's a bit much on my pale skin, but I still find it fun sometimes.
My perfect mascara
I have tried so many different mascaras but I finally came back to this one. I'm a redhead with blue eyes, so it's very easy for my mascara to look super fake. This mascara separates and defines, stays soft and flexible, and is buildable to a more dramatic look. I love the full, feathery look it gives me. My lashes are naturally pretty long, and I hate when they look spidery; this makes them a bit longer, without making them look ridiculous. It gives the perfect better-than-natural look.
Good for face, not for eyes
I don't wear foundation, and most of my makeup is concentrated around my eyes. I went to the beach for a week and brought these to remove my waterproof mascara. I would hold it on my eyes and then wipe and wipe, but would still be left with sticky black eyelashes. I desperately missed my big bottle of Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover, which takes it all off in five seconds. The wipes are not the same, and I will not repurchase.
Greasy
I have very oily eyelids, so I thought that these might help my makeup last. I like the bright, pigmented color, and the pencil does blend well, but even when layered with a base and topped with a powder, this smudged up into my crease in about 30 minutes. Jessica's idea of using this as just a highlighter or base is probably a good one, but it's not great for heavy use.
