Lisa, The Ordinary has a great 2% advanced Retinoid.
Alpha Skincare has a fantastic AHA serum and also an affordable body lotion that stimulates collagen and increases cell turn over/exfoliates gently.
Lac-Hydrin5 (CVS) is another option if you want to use an AHA, which is 5% Lactic Acid. This works well for many skin types as it doesn't leave skin oily and is gentle.
All of these would be great for addressing anti-aging and acne simultaneously.
The Squalane and Rosehip from The Ordinary...also fantastic for your skin to keep it hydrated and plump without causing breakouts. These are so incredibly affordable.
I'd also recommend a C serum daily. If you splurge on Drunk Elephant, that is where I'd put my money, but Timeless Skincare has a lovely C with E and Ferulic Acid for around $20. If you keep it in the fridge, it will extend shelf life.
CeraVe PM is a great moisturizer with anti-aging ingredients and the Ordinary has a Niacinamide with Zinc that's a terrific booster. They work well both separately and together to help reduce/prevent breakouts while strengthening your skin and helping it repair itself.
Paula's Choice Resist Toner is also a gentle with a ton of anti-aging goodies in it. That would pair nicely with using The Ordinary. The Resist and her Recovery Toners are a staple in my skincare and a bottle lasts forevah if you apply it with fingertips. You may want to peek at their Skin Balancing Toner is acne is an issue; that's very acne friendly! I'd also use a Hydrating face wash that doesn't strip skin's moisture barrier, such as CeraVe or La Roche-Posay's Hydrating Wash. It's milky perfection and won't irritate skin.
You know those smokes bring on the lines...lol With any anti-aging, an SPF is a must. It should be Broad Spectrum, always, every day..even if it's raining. :)
Hope that is of help to you! I'd also look into Vitacost's website and their CSI line.
