Beauty Product Reviews
Just beautiful
I am 48 years old and I am happy to confess that my skin has gone from very oily to combination. In the last 6 months, I have incorporated retinol to my nightly ritual as well as glycolic acid 3 times per week making my skin a bit on the dryer side. I love Sisley products but because of my skin being on the oilier side, I felt this may be overkill; however I received a tiny sample of it last month and loved what it did to my skin. I finally broke down and bought it and I am super happy with it. It is nourishing, hydrating, it leaves a beautiful glow on my skin but not greasy. I use very, very little; I actually just touch the wand a couple of times and that is enough for me especially in the mornings after the retinol has done its thing. It is the last thing I use after serums, moisturizers, etc., and after the oil I put on spf 50. My skin looks healthy, fresh, and luminous. This may be a better winter product for those with oily/combination skin.
There are much better hair masks out there
I have been looking for good hair masks lately because my hair has become dryer and duller at 48 Lol. This particular one did not do much for me. It may be that my hair needs something more hydrating. I have used this overnight as well as for 20 minutes for a boost as indicated in the instructions. Unfortunately, it did nothing for my hair. I have actually had better results with the Moroccan Oil hair masks; you can buy the trial packs for $6 and I was amazed at how well they worked. I spent around $55 on this "Bb While You Sleep Masque" and was very disappointed. I have also tried the Briogeo "Don't Despair, Repair Deep Conditioning Mask" for approx. $38 and was quite happy with the results. The ultimate mask for my hair is the Hair Rituel by Sisley; it's definitely pricier at $95, but it has been the best for my dry hair right now. I understand that camellia oil is supposed to be excellent for hair and that is why I purchased the mask by Bb; I am sad to say that it was a total disappointment for me.
