Meh. It kind of feels like mascara for your brows. The shade was perfect for my medium olive middle eastern Persian skin tone. It’s a cool tone. I liked the brush too but overall I felt like when you do have empty spots in your brows the formula is not functional to blend into the skin under your hair to fill in the bald spots. Nor is it possible to dip a brow brush into the product to use instead of the applicator brush. I would say this is a great product for those that don’t have empty bald spots in their brows but instead just need a good coating to clean up their brows and add a bit of colour for effect. I did like how it coated the hairs similar to how mascara coats your lashes.
I’ve been using this foundation for almost 6 years on a regularly basis. It’s the closest that I’ve ever come to a PERFECT foundation. It only comes in this packaging with the attached brush. However, said brush is pretty freaking great but if it’s not a touch up on the road, you’d want to use a better bigger brush. I pump it out and use the brush to swipe the product all over my face and then use my own brush to blend. It costs approximately $100 CAD. Shade #8 is pretty perfect for my naturally NC35 Medium-Olive toned middle eastern (Persian) skin. Most importantly, it doesn’t break out my thick, oily skin even when I end up sleeping in it. No pimples or tiny whiteheads the next day!!!! Most formulas for oily/combination skin types include silicones and oil-absorbing ingredients (i.e. SILICA) that function like plastic wrap, suffocating your skin and trapping oil in your pores, resulting in pimples. Surrat’s formula however, is like nothing I’ve ever seen before. It's an all-in-one primer, foundation and setting powder product that sets to a satin matte finish. It’s also buildable with medium coverage overall. Using a good concealer AFTER you've laid down the foundation by stippling it on in layers will definitely help build fuller coverage. The staying power is pretty darn good, lasting well into the night. It does, however, really depend on your level of activity and whether or not you're touching up with powder etc. It's obviously going to look very dewy by the end of a club night featuring no touch-ups. Moreover, I've recently been experimenting with PAT MCGRATH LABS’s Sublime Perfection Foundation in shades #14/13 and so far, it's not breaking me out, is full coverage and a near exact match for my skin tone. Nevertheless, I don't feel like it looks as naturally flawless on me as Surrat’s foundation: it could just be that I’m used to using a heavy hand with my Surrat? I'm still switching between the two to find out which is better for me given that they‘re both similar in price, though I do prefer not being forced to use the wand. I'll keep you all updated on my progress.
Great. I use them to apply my Glycolic acid peels and they work pretty great although they’re not totally fibre free. They’re pretty good I would say but they’re not professional
