Only a couple brushes stood out

I think that the 5 star ratings here a bit inflated for at least half the set. The eye set is amazing, but the face portion is not as good as people make it out to be. The white brush for the face is very small for bronzing so I guess it's good for people who like very precise bronzer but it doesn't diffuse as well as rephr 5. I washed it again & it bloomed some more but its not ideal for bronzing for me. The little angled brush is not soft like a lotus flower gliding over your face, it has a rough quality when buffing quite like many other goat hair bristle brushes. It works equivalent to rephr 4 & they are the same softness. The lotus base I thought was going to be amazing but its ended up scratchy & stabby where it's painful for me to use, so it's a let down. I was told this was due to either the synthetic bristles in the blend(not sure though as my IT #7 is beautifully soft) or the cleanser I used to wash (which was the same for all brushes ie baby shampoo). It works well for foundation (equal to IT #7). I wish this set was sold individually and I would 100% buy two of the eyes. The best eye brush is the one not available individually which is the little tapered one (soft definer) it is a standout. Same with lotus worker. Also wish more brushes came in this colorway as they are beautiful. I would not recommend this as a beginner set. Id recommend it to collectors who do not have sensitive skin who like very small face brushes. Or if you buy brushes for the design, these are very nice looking.
