Lighter than I expected, but A+ packaging!

The official description for the shade I ordered (C14) is medium with yellow undertones, but I've gotta be honest - this is actually closer to the light category.

As someone with "medium"-ish skin tone (NC30-ish) with tons of other products within "medium" ranges, C14 stands out as alarmingly pale in comparison. I had hoped that maybe the swatches I had seen online were simply appearing to be lighter than they really were in person, but they're actually pretty close now that I can swatch it on myself and compare it side by side to photos online. It's hard to gauge how a shade might look on you when you're seeing it swatched on someone else with a totally different skin tone, though. Keep that in mind if you're musing over which shade to get!

However, this shade does work okay on me for brightening under my eyes. It looks crazy when I first apply, but it looks pretty good after it's been blended out thoroughly and set. I don't use very much, just a couple of dabs under each eye, so the small amount of product doesn't bother me, and honestly, I view the packaging of it as more like a collector's item. If you're one of those folks who like to conceal half the face for a full coverage look, though, there are more cost-effective alternatives out there instead of this one that will also perform well (i.e., Shape Tape).

I swatched Magic Star and Shape Tape on my arm (and a couple others - MUFE and Amazing Cosmetics) to see how long-lasting they'd be, and at the end of the day, Magic Star and Shape Tape stuck around in full force, even after scrubbing at them with soapy water multiple times that day. On my face, there was a bit of creasing and settling into my fine lines under my eyes, but every single concealer I've ever tried has done that - it's just how my skin is, even with setting powder and setting spray. I will say that it wasn't as noticeable with Magic Star (and Shape Tape), though.

Overall, it's a good product! Just a little tougher to tone-match online. The packaging is sooo cute; I don't personally find it cheap-feeling. I don't think I'll repurchase, though. I've got my one for my collection, so now I can turn to cheaper concealers in the future that are just as good.

Versatile and buttery!

The first few times I looked at this palette, I brushed it off as having too many colors that I wouldn't wear. But then I kept coming back to look at it. I started looking at more swatches and reading more reviews. And then I started imagining what kind of glow-y extra-terrestrial looks I could do with it. Sold!

The formula is fantastic - just like the shadows in Blood Sugar and Blue Blood. Super easy to blend and very buildable in intensity. I was surprised at how easily I could use this palette for more muted everyday looks (with sometimes just a small pop of extra color!) - for bolder looks, I anticipate needing to pack on the shadow more for the brighter pigments and maybe spraying my brush if I want crazier shimmer.

My only gripe is one that others have had: the shape of the palette is inconvenient. It's a cute gimmick for sure, but the shape just doesn't play very nicely with my other palettes when it's time for storage because of the 3D eyes and unusual shape. The pro is that the shape allowed a pretty big mirror to go with it on the inside! It definitely doesn't bother me enough to take away any stars, though. I still love it!

Beautiful and so much softer than I expected!

I can't help but gravitate towards colorful things suspended in clear bases - I fall for that kind of packaging every- single- time. I thought these brushes would probably be decent and that I was mostly buying them for their cute handles, but I have been pleasantly blown away.

They're SO soft. The brushes feel SO sturdy. And even the brush hair is tinted a dark green! I didn't notice that in the photos, so that was such a great little extra detail. The pointed powder brush is more dense than the JSCxMorphe pointed powder brush - as adorable as the JSC brushes are...I actually prefer this Beautylish brush more with the way I prefer to apply my setting powder.

I still have to see how they hold up after washing, but so far, I'm absolutely in love with these!
