Brush holder broke

It kind hurts me to put this up here, but here goes.

To start with, I've been a fan of Sonia for over a decade, been following the blog since its early days, and adore everything her brand stands for. This was my first purchase from it, and I've had the set for about 2 years now.

The brushes are phenomenal and love the microfibre cloth too. I was also ecstatic about the brush holder, but I knew these are collector's items; this was the very reason I purchased them. Which is exactly why I've only used the brushes 3 times, and keep the brush holder on my vanity for displaying my collectible brushes alone. Never used it to store any of my rotation brushes and it's kept away from the sunlight and any sort of humidity, as is everything else.

Today, I went to dust the display, took the brushes out of the holder and I saw that one of the pieces of wood separating the compartments was broken, as seen in the images provided. The piece broke towards the direction in which the brushes were resting, so I assume it might have been the weight of them? Nevertheless that compartment only held 3 brushes (the eye ones from the Sonia G. Lotus Set, actually), so it wasn't overloaded or misused in any way.

It pains me because I was very happy to have this as one of the first pieces of my brush collection, which I waited years to start, so this is certainly disheartening. I also paid good money for it, which is making this worse. I can tell the item is of good quality and was crafted with care and attention, so I really don't know what could have gone wrong here for it to break, considering it wasn't even in use. It was just standing there decoratively with the brushes stored in it, and it still broke.

I honestly don't know what to do with it now. I'm afraid to put the brushes back in it, let alone the fact that this compartment and the one next to it are essentially rendered useless. I might try to correct it with some wood glue, but this is hardly something I want to be doing for an expensive collective item I've only ever had in display, and for as little as a couple of years at that.
