Beauty Product Reviews

Smells great, tanned hands, no pump

The product itself isn't bad. The scent makes me want to eat it. Looks shimmery on legs. It's moisturizing though I still add lotion on top. Leaves a pearly orange self-tanner look on hands. Shame to wash it off bc it looks pretty on backs of hands and makes them look smoother, more youthful.

As another reviewer mentioned, there is no dispenser. So it's a bottle with a paper/metal disposable cover, a white screw top, and a really big, decorated bronze lid that doesn't fit. Maybe there is supposed to be a pump or sprayer but for now, I left the seal mostly attached so it can be poured less messily.

It looks like the first application of self tanner on my ugly pale winter skin. So it's an improvement for sure.

Got it in a Lucky Bag so it's not returnable. Idk. Would maybe keep it regardless but it's not something I'd normally buy.

It's a dream!

Holy smokes. What a great balm. Smear on a baby bit (pea-sized, maybe even smaller) and the mascara, highlighter, powders, and creams simply slide right off. Add a bit of water to rinse and continue your skincare regimen. Skin is smooth and clean. It's amazing. Doesn't harm my delicate skin either. This is a new HG. Worth the price of my whole XL Lucky Bag to discover this gem.

So light

Even the #4 shade is very white-ish and it dries so quickly that it settles into lines before I can even blend. It reminds me of a thin layer of paint. I love CT face products (foundation, balm, moisturizers, blush). This isn't at all moisturizing or youthful, it's pretty awful. One star for innovative packaging and that's about all I've got.

The best concept

The gold standard for the basics. Skin is overall firmer, less fussy, smoother. The price is divine. Love that there is very little added *stuff*. Everyone's skin is different so it's hard for me to deduct stars for my own weird reaction of little clusters of bumps around my mouth and chin. I alternated not using each product in that area to find the culprit and am still working on that. I read that Niacinamide can cause some issues for a small portion of users and also read that the Peptides contain a bergamot oil, to which some people are sensitive.

But I'm weird. My skin is sensitive to everything. Overall, this brand is well worth a trial and I've yet to talk to anyone who hasn't seen improvements including myself.

Not worth it

Pros: *no issues with my hypersensitive skin *extremely natural looking shades *nice packaging - pallet containing the product is sturdy and sleek.

Cons: *colors are too similar to each other - the picture on here shows more range between shades than the actual product offers. When applied, the four lighter shades are so boring. It photographs better than it applies. *fallout everywhere, very very powdery and dry. *I have a drugstore pallet which is quite similar, offers a better range of shades with similar formulation, and it cost $10.

Dryer than the Mojave

This concealer is SO DRY and drying. To be fair, my skin is already quite dry in spots. This product did it no favors. For background, I was trying to improve upon the performance of Benefit's Boi-ing Industrial Strength Concealer which is thick and spackle like. But it performed much better than the "Cakeless" version.

The Cakeless concealer dries super fast. Before I could even blend it. Then it settles into my lines (I'm 45. They're there. Whatever.) And I need to apply more bc wtf it's all splotchy. And it doesn't sit right. It seems to move around and gather unflatteringly.

To be more succinct: I hate this concealer. In my experience, it's the opposite of what it claims to be.
