PERFECT! Fast + flawless foundation in a super enjoyable brush using experience!

Well I just woke up at 2:45am (Australian time) for the restock of the Fusion series so... you better believe I bloody love this brush!! 🤣 In this restock I bought a 2nd Jumbo Base, Jumbo Concealer and Soft Concealer because they are THAT good!

This Jumbo Base is everything I have been wanting (and searching for!) from a foundation brush. For reference I have been using the It Cosmetics #7 Heavenly Complexion Luxe Complexion Brush and ummmm... safe to say it's been replaced by Sonia!

It is the SOFTEST foundation brush. NO POKES. NO SKIN IRRITATION.

It gets around ALLL the face features. No need to grab for a smaller concealer brush to get around nose, chin etc! This thing just MOVES with the features of the face so well.

It also gets the foundation on SO DAMN QUICK. AND FLAWLESSLY! I used to really take my time with my base, perfecting it and this just... DOES THAT but in about 1/4 of the time!! So streaking, no weird bits, it just goes on perfectly in no time at all!

This brush does not absorb product AT ALL. I can't believe how much further my foundation goes... I squirted out my usual amount of foundation (1 squirt of Charlotte Tilbury AFF) and only needed half to do my face and was like... wtf!? This brush picks up the foundation, puts it on your face... and keeps NONE in it's bristles! It's like magic!

Because it doesn't keep foundation in it's bristles it doesn't get as dirty as other foundation brushes I've used. Because the bristles don't get gunked up with product, I think I will need to wash it less frequently. I wipe off the bristles after use on a microfibre cloth, it releases a tiny bit of product and is good to go again! (obviously will still need to be washed to truly clean any bacteria etc out of the brush).

My verdict is that this is basically the soul of a beautyblender but in a brush. I don't use beautyblenders/sponges. I cannot stand the idea of the waste they create for the environment, I hate how much product they absorb and waste, I just bloody hate them. If you are a die-hard beautyblender/sponge person tho, give this brush a try. It's amazing.

Also, totally not what this brush is designed for BUT I have been using it to powder my face too. After I do my foundation I wipe the brush on a soft towel and then go in with my powder. I got the idea because it reminded me of a beauty blender and I know a lot of women who go straight into their powder with their beauty blender so I thought... why not try! I love that the powder goes on the brush and then on my face - It doesn't fly around so much and bother my nose (I get a runny nose from powder floating about)! The powder also really gets PRESSED and worked into my skin, and doesn't sit on top of it.

So yeah, basically I'm obsessed and will only use this brush to do my foundation from now on until forever, Sonia G better keep making these!

SO happy I got this!!

I ummed and ah'd over this for over 6 months and FINALLY got it and am so so so happy I did! I just wish I'd got it sooner!

I have a beautiful collection of Wayne Goss brushes and was keeping them in little glass cups on my desk. I originally was looking for options to store brushes while traveling and came across this. Well it's perfect for traveling with brushes but it's also perfect for just storing your brushes on the daily!

When I had my brushes in cups, it was very annoying when I was in a rush and couldn't find the particular brush I was looking for. Worse set, sometimes in my rush I'd grab a brush out and it would tip a different brush out of the cup and onto my desk. I paid a lot of money for my brushes and I want to take good care of them! I wanted a nice, safe home to keep them.

This fits ALL my brushes and keeps them fantastically organized. I know exactly where each brush lives now so I can easily find it. At first the elastic was quite tight around my brushes, but it has loosened a little (still holds them firmly tho) so I can get them in and out of their compartments easier.

I love that my brushes are being kept safe, sound and even away from dust. And when I DO travel, it will be incredibly easy to just grab my Smithfolio and go! This 'fully loaded' version has the clip in zip pouches insert too and I think i will be able to fit all the makeup I need for travel in here!

This is such good quality, the leather is gorgeous, soft, smooth and the zippers and plates/pages inside the folder are very solid and reliable.

Shipping - It took a little longer than my Beautylish orders usually take to get to me, but that's because it was coming from USA to Australia, and during Covid times to boot.

The price of this was what had me hesitant but honestly it's only the cost of like 2 of my Wayne Goss face brushes so... of course it is worth it to house all my precious brushes safely!

Not for me - Colour + Smell

I received the shade Dahlia as a free gift when I purchased a number of Wayne Goss makeup brushes in the recent Gift Card event. I really wanted to love this lipstick as I adore Wayne's makeup brushes and love supporting him/his brand. This lipstick was a big no for me, for a number of reasons:

1. The smell. I knew as soon as I pulled the cap off this lipstick that I would hate the product. I am really sensitive to fragrance and scents and I flippin hate this crayon/off lipstick smell that this product contains.

2. This shade looked awful on me and pulled VERY pale orange in a really unflattering way. I do find lipsticks often pull orange on me (due to my natural lip colour) but this was like.. I wouldn't leave the house in this lipstick, it just looked so off.

Formula seemed nice, glided on smoothly. Can't say anything for the wear time as I immediately removed the lipstick after putting it on. I'm not a big fan of the packaging, that bright shiny silver just doesn't do it for me.

This wasn't a completely loss - I gave the lipstick to my mum and she's stoked to have a new lip colour to play with. It looks a LOT better on her; like a warm peachy nude, which I belive is how it's meant to look! The smell I find so offensive doesn't seem to bother her as much.
