Beauty Product Reviews

No one got lucky

I took a chance on a "surprise" bag hoping I would receive something new and fun that I would never think to purchase myself. Also, I figured a natural bag would be safe. They mentioned "dewy skin" and "flushed cheeks" in the ad copy so I figured if I got anything that helped me achieve that, then I would at least be happy with those items.

Well, I was disappointed.

I received an eyeshadow duo with a purple color (natural???), glitter eye shadow kit (natural, really???!), two Bliss products for body & hands (why 2 from the same brand when you have so many others to offer), the Indie Lee toner everyone got (kind of drying for the winter skin, btw), and then 2 things I actually liked - a Goss eye brush and an Ellis Faas Milky lips.

I don't feel lucky at all. I don't feel like I was gifted something special from a retailer who carries so many fun brands - especially one who advertises much more exciting ones on their home page and in newsletters. It felt like they emptied their overstock products or someone's gratis they didn't want at the end of the year and are passing it off as a "lucky bag" to customers.

Bottom line: spending $75 for two things I mildly like is not worth it. Needless to say I won't be ordering again nor would I recommend it to anyone. This is sad because I really want to like Beautylish.
