WOW (...and not in a good way...)
This is easily the WORST product I have ever purchased. Ever. I grabbed this on a whim at CVS and even though it was a dollar, I really want my dollar back! Haha!
I opened this and exposed it to air just TWICE, that's it, and then it ended up like the picture. I mean...what?!
There isn't much to say about this other than it's terrible. I'm sorry. I hate to say that but it really is. It was like rubber. Come on e.l.f.
Tried and True
This foundation is one of the first products I tried when I first got into MAC. This stuff is a favorite to pros and regular consumers alike. The coverage is amazing, it has an SPF but doesn't flash back in pictures like it's powdered sister (Studio Fix Powder) and a little goes a long way so it lasts.
One thing, however I did notice with Studio Fix is that I always seemed to struggle with getting my match juuuust right. It was always a bit too dark, a bit too light, the NC's were to yellow, the NW's were too pink. I'm somewhere in between an NC and an NW. But, that I think just has to do with MAC's color system and range. It's not necessarily the foundation's fault.
Just Like Velvet
They got the name of this product right! This pencil wears like Velvet. It's so luxurious feeling. Just the name and texture alone makes you feel sexier the moment you put it on. Wears like iron and feels comfortable at the same time.
The only thing I'm a little iffy on is the smell. Not really sure what's up with that and I can't really explain it, but still a great product never-the-less.
Another Home Run
Again, NYX hits it out of the park with these glosses. I have been a fan of these glosses for quite some time. It might sound funny but the thing I love the absolute most about these is the smell! Ohmygosh, they smell delicious. I'm happy to see that after all this time they haven't changed for altered the fragrance. Please don't ever change it, NYX. I might die. The wear time is good and they're hardly sticky at all. They're not like a lipglass from MAC. These have a really smooth texture.
My favorite shade at the moment is Natural, which I love wearing with the lip pencil of the same name. It's the perfect glossy nude (I'm wearing both in the picture)
Just As Good As MAC
I don't think NYX's lip pencils get enough love and attention. The pigmentation is outstanding, shade range is untouchable by any other brand and the price point... HELLO! $3.50?? I LOVE these pencils. And what's even better about NYX is it doesn't FEEL cheap. You know those brands that are at a low price point and they just FEEL cheap. I don't ever get that when I purchase NYX. In short: go buy these pencils. You won't regret it.
Versatile!
This palette is wonderful. It's a must for someone working on people of all different skin tones and types. It's full coverage and you can sheer it out with other products to lighter coverage. Once you have your desired coverage, you can turn around and use it as full coverage to cover any blemishes or scars. I use it on almost every client I work on as it's fragrance free and hypoallergenic. Even if you aren't a makeup artist, this is great for women who ha e trouble finding a matching foundation or have to buy multiple shades throughout the year as they get tanner/paler. And the best part?! This photographs BEAUTIFULLY. I highly recommend the VK Palettes!
