Beauty Product Reviews

A-ok

Have had this for over a year but I much prefer MAC's soft & gentle over this. This is really obvious during the day and you can see gold sparkles but it looks amazing at night! I have it in my pic as a highlight and also down the nose. I use my ring finger to dab a little and blend it in. Very nice for sensitive skin and it doesn't have that burn or tingleing feeling like high beam from benefit. Do not over do it, the pump does pump ALOT of product out and sad because alot gets wasted but just grab a tiny bit and tap w/ring finger or get a brush. Would not prefer a dense brush either. This can go over liquid foundation or powder but much better over liquid and you can also mix a little bit w/your foundation for that glow from within. Would I repurchase? no, but I wouldn't say it was a complete waste but it is really neglected lol

YAY & NAY

I have this in St. Lucia and it is a lifesaver for those on a budget but for those who want quality and actually have the ends to shell out then this might not be for you. I use it from time to time, kinda like how you have ALOT of makeup that you just feel like wearing on certain days even if you have go-to makeup =P ANYWAYS. This is blendable but you MUST be very lighthanded with this, it is VERY DARK even on my NC30/35 skin. Very pigmented and you will pick up alot on your brush even if you just barely touch it. A little goes a long way so for the price it's not bad and it will last a VERY VERY LONG TIME! I guess it depends what kind of finish you have on your face for this to blend...if your face is very sticky (foundation feel) then either powder your face till its smooth before you blend otherwise you might as well use a creamy contour or bronzer. Works well and blends well on mineral makeup.

MOST AMAZING FOUNDATION EVER DISCOVERED!

I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS PRODUCT! I have NEVER found a perfect foundation with an exact match! IT looks as if I don't have anything on my face but pure natural beautiful skin! My face has been so hectic this winter that this just feels so dewy and moisturizing on my face...It feels like I have rich, creamy, silky lotion on! I couldn't stop talking about this and touching my face and my Fiancee really likes it on me and says it looks like I have nothing on and that it was the best thing I ever put on my face. There is NO drug store foundation that can compare...even though the ingredients aren't up my alley I would continue to wear this anyway! FYI: Do NOT purchase if your face is oily!!! Make sure you tell the Chanel rep to match your foundation to your skin type...HIGHLY recommend for extremely dry skin...maybe normal skin can wear it but if you are oily at all, I wouldn't suggest it!

EXACT MATCH!

Let me tell you first by saying it is SO HARD to find a perfect match for my skin since I am German, Japanese, and Filipino LOL I have strong yellow undertones and have never found makeup with strong yellow tones to it. I even heard Chanel had more of a yellowish tint to it and when I went to the counter there was NONE for me! I went to the Lancome counter and I have NEVER used Lancome products EVER so when they matched me to bisque 4W with this teint miracle stuff OMG even my fiancee was shocked...he said "you have been trying to find the perfect match since I MET U!" hahaha TRUE! I waste money on products online that look close to my skin tone but as soon as I apply them they either have a pink base to it or a beige base but I need YELLOW YELLOW YELLOW....I don't agree with the chemicals in Lancome products but what can I do for the perfect match? MAC doesn't even have my perfect match and I also get pimples with their products.

UPDATE:2/4/12 I know it's hard to find foundation that is safe for your skin and has safe ingredients but I haven't found anything that looks well and covers good so highend foundations is the way to go for me! ANYWHOO knocked this down to 2-3 stars. this product dries my skin out and it is a match but not exactly...it's a little darker! I went to the mall and got samples from shiseido, clinique, NARS, lancome, and Chanel...CHANEL IS BY FAR THEE BEST THING I HAVE EVER PUT ON MY FACE! I have dry skin since it's winter and the Vitalumiere is hands down the best thing and doesn't look cakey or dry me out and looks just like my natural skin color/tone...WOW! I have no words for this foundation and will purchase Chanel products from here on out! Shiseido lipstick is THEE BEST I've ever put on my lips also just to let you know.

BEST CLINIQUE DUPE EVER

I used nothing but the clinique makeup remover for so long until I discovered this. This stuff works almost as good (notice I say almost lol) not quite, but almost as good! I now use sweet almond oil to remove my eye makeup..takes longer but it's cheaper and safer since it's natural ingredients and also GREAT around the eye area and lashes!

This stuff stinks!!!! smells like wet dog! lol It has alot of chemicals in it also...your better off using essential oils on your face. I keep wasting money looking for the perfect moisturizer and foundation and little did I know, the less products the better the results! I wash my face with water or something as organic as possible and I use the clarisonic and I haven't used a toner in sooo long because it is really bad for your face and I moisturize with coconut oil, olive oil, almond oil, avacado oil, argan oil. I switch moisturizing because my skin changes and I get as much in since the winter air is coming in and my skin has different needs all the time.

I do like how it's eco-friendly but I think I just got the wrong color. The color doesn't look good on me so maybe if I had a diff color I would like it more. I like that it's universal for lips as well and I love the peppermint smell to it. The color however, does not stay on.

yes it may work for you NOW but what does it really do to you in the future? know your ingredients. Check out cosmeticdatabase.com and find out how hazardous your products really are.

Before I was aware of product ingredients and how crucial they really are to our health, I went ahead and purchased this at clinique because they convinced me it was so moiturizing. It really isn't! After some time my face aged dramatically and I freaked out! I am 28 c'mon ya know? My face looked 5+ years older maybe even older than that so I stopped using it and started doing research! I thank this product and clinique for making me see the light! I became more aware of my ingredients and I dropped everything and started washing my face with water and honey (YES HONEY)..since it was summer and my skin already had moisture I didn't need added moisturizer. It takes 28 days for your cells to regenerate so I did this regimen for over a month and my face changed dramatically!!! It became better and better the more I didn't use products so I went organic. I still get pimples but those are treatable. I suggest you go see your own dermatologist for products that work specifically for you. What I did was buy the clarisonic and it changed my skin and especially pores.

I like vol 2 better (color wise) but you can always make something work but I usually mix vol 2 and 3 colors to get the perfect match or sometimes I just use one shadow from UD and then use others from other companies because I find that these are too shimmery and too glittery. BEWARE if you do your eyes and you want to create a dramatic look then I suggest you do your eyes first and then clean up the glitter with a wipe and then continue with the foundation after.
